Advantages: Cheap, Only A pound Disadvantages: Shoddy goods available
There are several pound shops which have sprung up over the last few years, Personally I think they are a great thing. I can?t believe some of the things you can get for only a pound.
I have bought several things from this shop over the last couple of years, including sweets, chocolate, metal working files, screwdrivers, sandpaper, CD cases, scissors, knives, craft tools, diaries, pens, pencils, CDs, and even a feather duster, all for a pound each.
You can get a set of six screwdrivers for a pound which I think is unbelievable, how you can produce a set of tools for that price I do not know. However be warned most of the tools you buy from this kind of shop are not of a professional quality, well unfortunately, what do you expect for a pound. It is very much a case of getting what you pay for. I have a set of six screwdrivers ...
Advantages: Cheap Shopping Disadvantages: Not enough parent/child parking
I absolutely LOVE Asda! I have shopped at Tesco,Safeway,Co-op,Marks & Spencer,Kwik Save just about most supermarkets, but Asda is by far the best for me!
I have 3 kids (very hungry kids that just love to eat everything in sight!) & this is where Asda comes in very helpful to me.
Firstly, the prices: I haven't found any of the other
supermarkets as cheap.
Secondly, helpfulness: When I go shopping I usually have my 2year old son with me & sometimes he can be a bit grizzly when i'm shopping! Just like his Dad actually, come to think of it! But there always seems to be a member of staff in one of the aisles to stop & speak to my little boy, & it really helps, he seems to calm down after getting that little bit of attention, and when it's time to pack my bags there's always someone there to do it for me & if there isn't then ...

Advantages: Some funny moments. Disadvantages: Not enough funny moments because of the sloppy writing.
Did you know Santa Claus had a brother? A big brother named Fred to be precise. But Fred has always lived in the shadow of his younger sibling who would grow up to be the very model of giving. Fred has gone the other way and makes his living as a repo man. But when he finds himself in jail, the only one that can bail him out is Nick. And he does so on the understanding that his big brother will work at the North Pole in the run-up to Christmas. So Fred heads north where his rabble-rousing ways jeopardise Santa's workshop as a nasty bureaucrat is looking for a reason to shut it down.
As director David Dobkin previously helmed "Wedding Crashers" I was expecting something sharper than your usual family Christmas movie. But this film wasn't all I hoped. It's fine when Vince Vaughn is being allowed to run off at the mouth, but the rest ...

Album Notes
2 bonus tracks are included on this CD. Personnel include: Fred Frith (vocals, guitar, violin, keyboard, xylophone, 6-string bass). Recording information: 1983. After Fred Frith's tenure with the bracingly explorative bands Henry Cow and the Art Bears, he made a series of solo albums. After SPEECHLESS and GRAVITY, Frith made this delightful surprise move into his version of pop music. This also marked his first release as vocalist, and he presents himself quite confidently. Very British, his voice falls somewhere between Robert Wyatt and Ivor Cutler, stepping easily between talking and singing. Nearly all of the tracks on this album were home- recorded on a four-track machine, and Frith plays most of the instruments himself. CHEAP AT HALF THE PRICE is a combination of cheerful pop music and Frith's quirkier tendencies. The album opens with the ironic "Some Clouds Don't" (where cheerful harmony singers warn that "some clouds don't have a silver lining"). There are a number of tracks that lean more toward experimental music than toward pop ("Instant Party"). The spirit and sound of this album was revisited later on the French/Frith/Kaiser/Thompson albums.
