"Blue Collar" is the debut album from the Chicagan rapper, Rhymefest. It came out in 2006 after he broke out of being simply an underground freestyle rapper around Chicago by collaborating with Kanye West on a track named "Brand New", which gain him much attention and got him some mainstream attention. 1. "Feel Free" (Intro) 2. "Dynomite" Just Blaze gets things going as he comes out with a strong composition to get you ready for Rhymefest's raps on this album. On it, you get 'Fest display why he was able to attract so much attention when MCing on the underground circuit. **Three Stars** 3. "Brand New" This was the banger which launched Rhymefest's career as a recording artist, and it has him coming out with some amazing flow. Black and blue jam

Advantages: Lovely flavour
Disadvantages: can be expensive to make

We went blackberry picking on Saturday as we are fortunate enough to have quite a few areas of unspoiled (ie not near a road) blackberry bushes around here. After making several batches of blackberry jam (my preserving pan is very old and has been inherited and can only cope with 1kg of fruit - slightly annoying), I had 450g of blackberries left over. I was about to freeze them as I wouldn't have had enough to make a whole 2lb jar and the only small jar I had left would have been too small and then I remembered the punnet of blueberries I had in my fridge so thought that I would combine the two fruits and try out a black and blue jam. The recipe is simple and to be honest I think I hit on the right balance of the fruit straight away - 60% blackberry and 40% blueberry but you are more than welcome to try another combination ...

Bob Margolin All-Star Blues Jam, worth a listen

Advantages: You hear some legends of the Blues playing together.
Disadvantages: None

the singing. A nice end to a fine Blues Album. Bob Margolin gives a few lines about the song or history of it after every track in the sleeve notes The album is the same as they were live. Bob Margolin came out to his audience in the interval and even signed the cd I bought. We also sat next to the drummer in the pub across the road before the concert. This is an excellent album, buy this if Blues is your thing, some of these musicians have played in Muddy Waters Band. Pinetop Perkins for twelve years. How's that for a recommendation for an album?
