This album contains many of Ludacris's hits, and it starts with a bang, Southern fried intro is a great intro and makes you want to listen on, this intro features on one of the Westwood Albums. The second song Blow it out tells you about ludacris state at the time. The next song is stand up which is one of his greatest hits so far. Then comes a skit with a radio presenter talking bout luda. Then is splash waterfalls which has great lyrics and a good rythm and a video to it was released to it. The next tracks is called hard times and is about when ludacris grew up. Diamond in the back is about what ludacris wants and can get. Screwed up is a very funny song about ludacris on drugs and about what happens to him when he is on them and it features Lil' Flip who also says what he does, then comes a skit. There there is a song called p-Poppin which was released and has very clever lyrics. There is one more good song on this album and that is Act a fool this song is was the soundtrack for Fast and the furious 2 and is a very popular song. Overall this album is very good

Ludacris is one of the best rappers in the music industry. In most of his songs on the album he always say something funny that would have you laughing. His lyrics are great and the beats are great too. He raps about some situations that he been true in his life with his friends and he also raps about women. On the album he raps slow in some songs and in other songs a raps fast. Most of the songs on the album you will enjoy and you will not be disappointed. ...

Advantages: A few strong tracks Disadvantages: Not as strong as his first two albums. Lots of skits.
..."Chicken & Beer" is the third album from Ludacris, and it shows progression from "Back For The First Time" and "Word Of Mouf", as this one came two years after the latter of them. This is his 2003 release and was well into his regin as the 'king of the south' with little competition upcoming. Luda comes once again with the sound of Atlanta, showing the world exactly how the 'Dirty South' of America compares to competion from the East and West.
1. "Southern Fired" (Intro)
As an intro the album, this is a big one because Luda comes out in a huge way to get a few things off his mind prior to getting into the themed tracks. I found the grimey synth from DJ Nasty & LVM to be the best element of the production for it, and this is waht allowed Luda to come out with the rhymes (including a mandatory shout-out to Bill O'Reilly and all...

..."Golden Grain" is the debut album by the Southern Rap record label, Disturbing Tha Peace (DTP), which is owned by the Atlanta rapper Ludacris. It came out towards the end of 2002 (in between the release of Ludacris' second and third albums, "Word Of Mouf" and "Chicken-N-Beer" respectively). This album showcases the talent of everyone from his label, all of which come out with the style which Luda brought to the mainstream; Southern Rap, and in particular the Dirty South variation of it. The album not only has the group working together on collaborations with each other, but also has other guests such as Too $hort, Scarface and Twista.
At the time the label had the following artists signed up to it: Playaz Circle, Shawnna, Lil' Fate, I-20 as well as some lesser known artists and they all get a chance to show off what they have to...

Album Notes: This is a hybrid Super Audio CD playable on both regular and Super Audio CD players. Personnel includes: Ludacris, Shawnna, 8 Ball, MJG, Carl Thomas, Lil' Flip, Lil' Fate, Snoop Dogg, Chingy, I-20, Tity Boi, Dolla Boi. "Stand Up" was nominated for the 2004 Grammy Award for Best Male Rap Solo Performance. In the year leading up to the release of his third disc, CHICKEN & BEER, Ludacris' distinguished drawl could be heard all over the radio on commanding guest appearance after guest appearance, most notably on Missy Elliott's smash "Gossip Folks." Not that he needed any more airplay--his first two major releases already had the Georgian rapper well established as one of the most accomplished Dirty South crossover acts. CHICKEN & BEER is an apt title for the ravenously hungry record with few moments of sobriety, as Ludacris unleashes his most gentle of furies. In "Southern Fried Intro," he unabashedly admits to throwing all styles, even pop, into his musical stew, before firing the full-out assault of "Blow It Out," a measured, righteous, anthemic response to his doubters and detractors, including an on-point slap at talk show host Bill O'Reilly over their much-chronicled Pepsi flap. He then switches to seduction of the most swaggering brand on the hook-laden, dance-floor bound "Stand Up." As with Eminem, the way he allows his goofiness to take sway, it's easy to forget his similarly supreme ability as a wordsmith, but this forgotten secret to his success is evident throughout CHICKEN & BEER, another appealing record from the Dirty South icon.
