Its Chico Time! This amazing, catchy song will be sure to grab your attention wherever you go. Chico wrote this song himself whilst on the The X Factor, with help from his vocal coach Mark Hudson. He was mentored by Sharon Osbourne and won the hearts of the public, especially women and children. Chico came 5th in The X-Factor series 2. He was criticised by Mr Simon Cowell at his audition, but as the finals went by, he grew more and more to like Chico. Simon even apologised on Live TV to Chico and said he would have a number one hit with Its Chico Time. And here he is, 2 weeks running as the nation's number one. He knocked Madonna off the top, and stopped Pussy Cat Dolls reaching the top slot. Chico is such a lovely guy and deserved to reach his goal and now he has, his dream has become a reality.

Chico was born in Bridgend, Wales on 2nd April 1971 as Yousseph Slimani. He moved to Morocco when he was just 2 years old and was brought up there until he was 13 and a half. He herded goats in the hills of Morocco, to help his grandparents out. Then he then moved back to Britain and lived in Crawley. He trained to be a hairdresser and also an electrician but felt it wasnt him. Then he became a stripper after a friend told him that he didnt look like an electrician. He sent his earnings to his grandparents in Morocco, who were ill. This is why he wanted to make some money so he could look after them. Chico has also been a glass collecter in a bar, where he didnt think of it as a job, because he danced all day. As a boy, he was great at martial arts and always loved music. Chico was also nominated for a bafta with brother Mac, for short comedy film 'Winner Takes All', which he scriptwrited and appeared in himself.

He has one sister called Sabah, and her children appeared in the video for Its Chico Time. Chico can speak three languages: Arabic, French and English.

The message of this song is 'Dont take life too seriously or you will get delirious. Let the little kid in you out and have some fun.'
