Album Notes: Personnel: Stanley Clarke (acoustic & electric basses); Dee Dee Bridgewater, Andy Bey (vocals); Arthur Webb (flute); Chick Corea (acoustic & electric pianos, Clavinet); Pat Martino (electric & 12-string guitars); Lenny White (drums, tambourine).
Advantages: Great pop songs, summer feel, still Dodgy-esque Disadvantages: The recycled paper CD case - it won't last much longer
...The demise of Dodgy went with the death of Britpop, when their lead singer and bassist Nigel Clark decided the pop charts and 'hit' singles wasn't 'Good Enough' for three hippies from the midlands.
Since 1998 Nige has moved out of London, got married, had children, and finally found the time to build a home studio and do what he does best - write catchy numbers and play good music!
And this is just what Dodgy fans have been waiting for - Clark has stuck to the same formula that helped him notch up 8 top 20 singles and a number 1 album in the 90's. Wearing his influences on his sleeve, the Beach Boys twist of single '21st Century Man', the Northern Soul-touched 'Sometimes', the summer folk of Northern Lights'... every song could be a single, every song a sing-along.

Advantages: classic album from classic rock band Disadvantages: none!
...track plus other typical Motorhead songs such as Stone Dead Forever, All The Aces, and the surprise - Step Down - sung by Eddie Clarke, rather than Lemmy.
Cd2 is well worth checking out as well, with a handful of alternative versions and 'b' sides, plus the 4 live tracks that were originally released as the "Golden Years" live EP. Overall this is a great package, which no Motorhead or classic rock fan should be without. Almost 30 years on it still sounds fresh and in no way dated. Buy it!...

Some real gems Review ofRomeo Must Die - Original Soundtrackby
chocoholic
Advantages: Some excellent tracks Disadvantages: Take out Aaliyah and quality drops greatly
...transported to a playground with a child sitting with a drum when I hear this track. It has a hopscotch/ playground feel, I can easily imagine young children singing this while skipping away. I hate it, will always skip this track.
COME ON - Blade
Very oriental riffs which I've never heard before, but Blade's rapping just doesn't go with it. It results in a bit of a mish mash.
SWUNG ON - StanleyClarke feat. Politix
The best way to end the soundtrack- a kung fu hiphop track! The song is by jazz bassist StanleyClark and rapper Politix. There's a poppy electronic beats, and phat bass-lines. Coupled with memorable rapping this works surprising well.

When looking at the artists on this album it is easy to forget that Romeo Must Die was released in 2000. If it were released more recently no doubt...
