When my sister moved out she still came for the Christmas buffet on Christmas day but one year decided they were having Christmas dinner at home and her husbands family and our family were going. I didn't fancy that as by this time I was in my 20's.
When I moved out and lived with my now husband we never made a big deal about Christmas after all it was just another day but we always bought presents for family and made a fuss of my nephew and niece as I believe Christmas is for children and it has gone too commercialised people buy presents for every tom dick n harry because they buy them for them etc. STOP IT! You don't have to buy presents for that friend of your Aunt Fanny's.

I don?t know about you but I find it really difficult having to decide on what to make for children?sparties, instead of the usual sausage rolls and sandwiches so while I was browsing through Amazon one day I came across this book by family circle that gives you ideas on party themes and recipes for that special occasion.
I will run through all the different sections:
First part of the book Gives you advice on planning a party like planning ahead, how many guests to invite? What sort of food to make? should you have prizes? As well as giving you some table decoration tips and all types of party games which I thought was really interesting as some of the games I never even heard of for e.g. MUSICAL MATS. At work we have a regular book club visiting every month or so with books to buy. On their most recent visit in between the gardening and automobile books, there was this little treasure: Usborne Christmas Baking for Children.
If I?m honest, I have never been one for baking; I don?t have much of a sweet tooth. Before I had my daughter who is now 2 years old I think the last baking I had done was at school.
