Advantages: hardcore at it's best Disadvantages: just the odd weak song
...in 2004 - what a performance). But here the style of old school metal riffs and emo harmonies join perfectly and helps define the bands sound.
'All That's Left' has zooming guitars, (yes, that's the sound it almost sounds like!) and is a 'grower' of a track. The drums seem more prominent here, possibly because of the drum intro, but the vocal strength of Dustin Kensrue also come to light here. It's all well and good screaming, but screaming and harmonising in key is a different matter, that is achieved here.
'Silhouette' is a personal favourite of mine. Sort of a sing-a-long track actually; 'Your eyes followed me here', basically because of the sung verses, screaming pre-choruses and harmonic chorus - perfect structure for this genre.
'Stare At The Sun' is, as I've mentioned with many of my music reviews, is probably the song you...

Advantages: none for me Disadvantages: no really well known songs
..., in fact I would much rather listen to Under the Sea as for me at least it is a better song overall. Following this is Catch a Wave another Beach Boys style offering with the vocal harmonies and beat, yet again this offers nothing that for me makes this worth listening to, the best part of this is the intro as it features a section of dialogue from the movie.
Octopus Garden the next track sounds again like something familiar but I cant quite put my finger on it and to be honest has made me wonder if this is a collection of better known favourites that Disney has bought rights to and then had artists do covers of for this compliation if thats the case then Disney you have no doubt ruined a set of very good songs with this CD, certainly the final track Under the Sea has been covered many times but I have never heard it done in a way that has...

Advantages: Happy, Great Lyrics, Great vocals Disadvantages: None
...I bought Mikas' debut album, Life in Cartoon Mition, a few weeks ago and having listened to it quite long and hard I
thought it was about time I wrote a review.
Like most I first heard of Mika when he released his debut single 'Grace Kelly' which like many debut singles of late went
to number one, but this track and artist really deserves it. The track, which is the first on the album, shows his massive
vocal range and in many parts shows the amazing simiarity in tone to the late great Freddie Mercury, which is praise
enough. The track is a classic upbeat pop track with a cracking catch sing-a-long-a corus.
Track two, Lollipop, is one of my favourites, if a little bizarre lyrically as it appears to vaguely relate sucking on a
lollipop to love.
The third track, My Interpretation, keeps the mood upbeat even...
