Advantages: Relaxing, reasonably priced, and better than its predecessor. Disadvantages: Not enough tracks!
...If you haven't heard 'Chilled Ibiza', then don't worry, because the sequel, 'Chilled Ibiza 2' rocks! In much the same style as its predecessor, 'Chilled Ibiza 2' is guranteed to make you lie back and relax, and it's the perfect cure for road rage (trust me, I should know).
I've always wanted to create my own compilation CD of chillout music, but as soon as I heard the first 'Chilled Ibiza', my work was more or less done. And now with the release of the second CD, my mission is complete. 'Chilled Ibiza 2' has all the tunes that I myself would have chosen. But I must stipulate, that this isn't one of those albums that's likely to make you fall asleep. By far, it will relax you and put you in the mood.
The next best things about 'Chilled Ibiza 2' are the artists it features, and its price. At only £13.99 from HMV (prices...

Advantages: Easy Listening. Chill out, and not a dud in sight Disadvantages: I can't think of any
...simmilar to ashes in style, with a belting chorus and bridge. Wish em all away is simmilar to looking as you are. Its a great ballad, but slightly more uptempo. Spell it out (my favourite) Is a cross between ashes and gravity. Its spectacularly written with memorable lyrics. Glorious day, is short and sweet. Its a song which makes you smile. Near life has a short vocal section, but its a cool song. Its mainly instrumental, so its the ultimate chillout. Out of Nothing is also great ballad, with a great instrumental, and is an amazing way to finish an amazing album....

Advantages: Funky rhythms and soothing rhymes Disadvantages: Lacking in quality and rather bland
...The first thing that you need to know is that BRIDGING THE GAP doesn't compare with ELEPHUNK. The opening track on BRIDGING THE GAP oozes with groove, and the whole album is generally funky. But the funk doesn't necessarily make this album good. The hip hop element is generally quite weak, and the songs are shallow and without any real meaning or passion. The backing vocals can be aggravating and repetitive, and many of the melodies are hastily put together and poorly thought out.
This record is by no means awful. It has a chilledout feel to it, giving it quite a soothing effect. The thing it lacks is tension and grit which gives an album that 'on-the-edge' kind of feel. From the first track on BRIDGING THE GAP the listener doesn't real feel like it's going anywhere.
All in all, this is worth a buy if you have enough money...
