Advantages: Great food, nice setting Disadvantages: Don't come too late if you're driving - the car park is a bit titchy.
One of the nice things about writing reviews is that every now and then you get to know someone on a site and then realise that they actually live not far from where you live or work and friendships can move from the internet to the real world. Such was the case recently when I arranged to meet for dinner with a fellow member of dooyoo.co.uk. After debating the various options we worked out that for both of us Frodsham could be a handy location and I suggested 'that Chinese place on the way into Frodsham from the Preston Brook end of the town'. I think most people in the area would know it from that description but a bit of googling quickly identified the restaurant name as the Chinese Delight.
Frodsham, for those unfamiliar with the area is located just south of the M56 between Junctions 12 and 13 and offers scenic views towards ...
Advantages: Good food, service and surroundings Disadvantages: Not disabled friendly; minimum charge
I can't really explain why it took me more than two years to visit Tang's Chinese restaurant which is recommended by the Michelin Guide, especially as it is only about five minutes' walk from my home. Meeting my son and his partner early one Sunday evening, I suggested that it did look worth trying. We arrived at 6pm and found the restaurant to be completely empty. One tablecloth was set diagonally but was removed after the main course to reveal a second one underneath.
Menus were brought and we each ordered a glass of fruit juice ...
Advantages: Restrained vocals, excellent guitar work, interesting songs Disadvantages: A bit disjointed at times, the tracks don't flow well into each other.
with a deep bassy backdrop and simple, quiet lyrics then gradually builds as the chorus grows closer with guitars and drums joining in. Jim Kerr has a fantastic voice on this track, powerful yet restrained. He does at times tend to over sing and get carried away but with this song he has resisted the urge and the song really benefits.
5) Kiss and Fly
Another restrained track, yet it's powerful at the same time if that makes sense.
6) Graffiti Soul
Another good track, there's nothing of note to say about it really though
7) Blood Type O
This has some interesting keyboard work on it, I don't like the vocals however, a special effect has put on them for most of the track which isn't necessary.
8) This is It
This is my second favourite track, it has a funky vibe to it and restrained vocals again which let the music shine through.
