Advantages: A good gripping read Disadvantages: Not everyones cup of tea
be revealed if you read the book.
Land Of Fire has been written by Chris Ryan a man who has been there, done that and got the T-Shirt. Now in his 40's Ryan served 10 years in the SAS and saw much active service during this time. He's best known for his book 'The One That Got Away' which recounts his true story of evading the Iraqi army during the first Gulf War. He was the only member of an eight man team who wasn't captured or killed by the Iraqi's and managed to escape to Syria. This feat earned him the Military Medal. The success of 'The One That Got Away' spurred him to try a bit of fiction and he's carried it off with great aplomb. 'Land Of Fire' is his seventh novel.
The book is full of strong characters and I sensed that Ryan was basing Mark Black's character somewhat on himself. The girl spy Concha is one fiesty madam ...
Advantages: Non greasy, holds fast, only a small amount required, lasts for ages, great value Disadvantages: Very lightly perfumed
of the wet look (unless I have just emerged out of a swimming pool or the ocean), the slicked back look (a bit too retro for me) or the greasy look (no one wants the chippan look).

In addition, you need to be careful since this product does stain clothes despite what the tub says, and it is a nightmare to get out, even with vanish.
Many products are harsh and having sensitive skin I have to be careful however this is ...
Advantages: It could save your life Disadvantages: If only they'd known sooner
We had a chippanfire once. Left the walls and ceiling black it did, messy bugger.
Anyway, after flicking through some old magazines, I came across an article describing what to do if your chippan caught fire. Pity that it came out a bit too late to save our luverly 1989 kitchen.
With out further ado, my slightly modified guide on 'What to do if your chippan is on fire':
1: NEVER throw water on a flaming chippan.
2: DO NOT try to take it to the door or the air blows fat into your face, leaving some attractive scarring.
3: DO turn the heat off.
4: DO Soak a wet tea towel, or if a tea towel is out of reach, a towel will do. In fact, ALWAYS have a bucket with a couple of wet tea towels (or towels) soaking in it.
5a: Do throw LEAST favourite tea towel (or towel) over the pan.
5b: If you're organised and safety ...
