The story starts as Dave a musician whose fed up of his career and is just about to abandon it and meets up with the chipmunks accidentally. These chipmunks are luckily good dancers and singers. Impressed by the, Dave takes them into his house never thinking of the amount of mess they might create. In a very less time, Dave and the chipmunks began creating music and they become famous very fast, acknowledged by the whole world.

The cartoon always had the chipmunks getting into trouble, or getting Dave into trouble, so I was curious as to what the film would do for a plotline, and whether it would stay true to the cartoon series that was aired on our screens for so long.
The Plot
The film is billed as a comedy, and it opens with the three chipmunks singing in a tree. In keeping with modern times, they are singing Daniel Powter's 'Bad Day', which made my little boy laugh immediately. Winner, I thought. Keep him amused for the duration! The general plot behind the game is that you start at a small music venue and then have to work round larger venues. In each level you have to catch various icons which drop from the top of the screen, and this is what keeps you in time with the music. Working through this story mode allows to unlock more levels in the game.
The touch screen controls are not the most accurate, and sometimes you miss a icon at the base of the screen.
