Advantages: All tracks from Alan Silvestri's magnificent score Disadvantages: None
...I really love the Back To The Future films and AlanSilvestri's music is an important part of this enjoyment. I bought this soundtrack on Import (from the US, I think) and am really glad I did. It consists entirely of Silvestri's score and doesn't disappoint (unlike the soundtrack to the original film). All the music from Part II is here, I think, and I really cannot fault it. The original theme is present throughout in different guises - sometimes with more urgency and menace, other times with a more sombre reflective tone - making it impossible not to picture each scene as you listen.
My two favourite tracks are: "The Future" which includes the simple but powerful 'De-de-de-de ching, de-de-de-de ching, de-de-de-de ching, de-de, der-der' theme first heard when the Libians arrive on the scene at Twin Pines Mall in BTTF1...

Advantages: An exciting action score of great power and stature Disadvantages: The constant action will tire you easily
...for an interesting effect amid so much solid orchestral sound. The album is surprisingly short, lasting only 43 minutes. But the album never sounds too short due to the fact that the released score is almost non-stop action from start to finish. As it stands it is still a great and powerful score but without that one bit of extra spark that could have catapulted it to the top of 2004's offering.
