...I'm sorry to say that i haven't actually listened to this cd. I only noticed the front cover of the cd and thought it was really hot, just a shame about the writing covering the important bits.
Once i have listened to all the tracks on the cd i will write a thorough and honest review of all the artists and there material featured.

...Essential Afroboeat is essential if you are in any way interested in Afrobeat music. The CD sleeve notes bake a somewhat bold claim. "This is Afrobeat: The past, the present and the future. Contributions to this compilation come from all the corners of the Earth, with influences from every culture of the world. Fela said that Africa was "The centre of the world." This compilation has proved him right: Afrobeat is afrian and Africa is at the centre. The contribution of each artist to this compilation is testimony to the fact that Afrobeat is universal."
But are these sleeve notes right? Yeah. I guess they are, pretty much. There's a glittering array of some of the best of the most talented musicians from Africa. There's Fela Kuti himself, with his super-eclectic style, which combines elements of R&B, Reggae, Ska and some hard pushing...

...The New Rolling Stones Album
Here is a brilliant of the best of The Rolling Stones, originally released in 1975.
It has 40 tracks, compared to the 28 of the original version, it does give some pause for thought. There are very few bands that stay relevant into the very decade of their career, particularly when it comes to producing music worthy enough of standing on its own two feet.
For this reason, it's a very good job that the extra space is filled up with songs contemporary to those on the original compilation, including Tell Me (1964), Heart of Stone (1965), Play With Fire (1965), I'm Free (1965), Mother's Little Helper (1966), Dandelion (1967), 2000 Light Years From Home (1967), No Expectations (1968), Let It Bleed (1969), You Can't Always Get What You Want (1969), Wild Horses (1971) and Brown Sugar (1971).
