..., and listening to the album you find many references to his young age, and perhaps this is how he attracts his main audiance. Chris Brown makes 'teenybopper' music (music for teens for those a bit confused) but with that edge his music can get away with being for an older audiance as well. I'm not sure if Run It was just such a huge favourite of mine at the time because I was 16 as well at the time, although it's still a track for me that lives on through the ages. Even its remixes aren't to be scoffed at, although the many remixes do not feature on the album there's a few good ones out there on the internet for you to listen to. This is going to sound sad, but Chris Brown is one of those artists that I found the need to learn about, and it wouldn't take me long to find out about how his birthday is the day following mine. ...to listen to Justin Timberlake!) It's definately fair to say that the album tracks live up to the standards of the released singles. Songs such as 'Winner' and 'Young love' represent the fact that Chris Brown is still a young boy trying not to be too old for his age. These songs show that he's aware hes still young and he doesn't take things such as relationships too seriously. However, he gets the message across that he's not too young to understand what love is. On the other hand, other songs such as 'Ya Man Ain't Me' and 'Just Fine' show the more serious side to Chris. In 'Ya Man Ain't Me' he speaks of a situation in which a girl is being mistreated by her man, and he can do so much more for her. Just fine shows another side where he is trying to explain that a girl can do better than him, and God will give her better opportunities. I... Read review

Advantages: Consistently strong songs
Disadvantages: Perhaps no "mega-hit" in the vein of Wicked Game but nothing really.

...I'd never really heard of Chris Isaak when I first got this album, although I later found out i knew the song 'Wicked Game' (who doesn't?) My dad got into a habit of buying albums he already had and when this occured with this album he passed it onto me, although he had to make me promise to try it out because I was heavily into rock music like Aerosmith at the time and had never really given this type of music the chance From the first listen six years ago to today I still really enjoy this album. It's really great to relax to but with enough depth that you could listen to it with headphones on and appreciate each song lyrically and musically. It's quite hard to describe the music, it's like a pop country. Almost like a Roy Orbison for the 80s and 90s bizarrely! They're very melodic and easy to sing along to. Electric guitar...
