Christmas Album - Barbra Streisand

Advantages: good songs
Disadvantages: just one cd, I wishe there were two or three

...This is an exceptional album that I really enjoy listening to. It is Barbara Streisand`s second live album and it was recorded long ago in 1972. If you own her first live album you will be able to make the difference between the two. It shows how much her music has grown and diversified. Although she hasn`t played at concerts for nearly 5 years Barbara Streisand has often played in Casino`s in Las Vegas. There is very funny monologue where she pretends to be smoking marijuana. Two interesting facts- 1. This was Barbra's final album with producer Richard Perry and 2. Barbara Streisand has release one live album for every decade she has performed in, probably unintentionally. The big showpiece in this album is "Where You Lead/ Sweet Inspiration." Advantages: Voice like a human that cares.
Disadvantages: Some people don;t like her.

...You may love her, you may hate her, you may think her work slushy and sentimental, although even those who do not particularly like Barbra Streisand cannot deny that the woman has a voice, and a wonderfully powerful tool as such. The range of her voice is astounding. I am a musician myself and she always amazes me by the number of octaves that her voice can cover. Over the years, I have had many LPs by Barbra Streisand (Yes, I did say that right), although I have moved a lot in my life and somehow lost copies in the midst of moving and when I saw this album of Barbra Streisand, I was impressed because really it covers all the albums I had lost in one collection. Advantages: Sixteen tracks
Disadvantages: None really!

...This is Celine's best album. It has some absolutely gorgeous tracks on it, including The Reason (one of her most powerful songs in my opinion), her duet with Barbra Streisand 'Tell Him', her amazing cover of When I Need You, and the best ever recorded in the universe...My Heart Will Go On from Titanic. Every song is stunning, apart from perhaps Celine's reggae impression on 'Treat Her Like A Lady'. Other than that, the lyrics are superb, she looks gorgeous on the cover, there's a generous sixteen tracks, and they're all fantastic!... Read review
