Is it because Frank Sinatra is one of the best singers of all time or is it the fact I love to sing along with his catchy lyrics maybe so, but did you know that Frank Sinatra was once called quote: "The Voice" because there's never been a better voice for a microphone than his. As a big fan of Frank Sinatra I have more than a few of his CD's but there's only one that will always find its way to the top of the pile in my collection around this time of year,and that's the Frank Sinatra Christmas Album. Advantages: great selection of christmas classics

...Minogue - Santa Baby. But hey, that's what the skip buttons are for! CD 2 is a lot more low key so to say. No christmas album would be complete without a bit of Cliff Richard and he starts and finishes off the second disc, with his very candy coated Mistletoe And Wine and The Millennium Prayer. There's still some classics rooted in there. Aled Jones - Walking In The Air, Bing Crosby/David Bowie - Peace On Earth/Little Drummer Boy, Dean Martin - Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!, Bing Crosby - White Christmas. My personal favourite to sing along to is The Spinners - Twelve Days Of Christmas. A live version!! So it's much more easier to get the words right because they're telling the audience the lines so they can sing along as well. Stacie Orrico - O Come All Ye Faithful is one it could do without as well as Norah Jones... Read review

...on the other. The amassed songs, spanning a period of two decades, have been arranged in chronological order beginning with a 1963 rendition of ?Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas? (written by Hugh Martin and Ralph Blane) and ending with a 1975 Don Coasta arrangement of ?Christmas Memories?. Some of the highlights from the album are the two tracks Sinatra recorded with Bing Crosby, ?Go Tell It on the Mountain? and ?We wish you the Merriest?, both exemplifying perfect Christmas swing. The two crooners are evidently at ease with each other and compliment each other wonderfully. Another track to note is ?The Twelve Days of Christmas?, Sinatra sings with his three children Tina, Nancy and Frank Sinatra Jr (I wonder just how embarrassed they are by the recording now).
