If you do not know the story of Charles Dickens' A ChristmasCarol there is probably something wrong with your think tank. It's possibly one of the most re-told stories of all time and probably has more film-isations than any other book, possibly even trumping the bible. This is Walt Disney's third re-telling alone for God?s sake.
Anyway for those who live in a hole or have dementia, A ChristmasCarol is the story of Ebonezer Scrooge (Jim Carey) and is passage by fire from twisted, grumpy, old miser who hates Christmas to the very opposite (except he stays old).
After the death of Scrooge's business partner, Scrooge has got even more miserable and spiteful than ever and everyone fears and avoids him. Even his sole employee, Bob Cratchet (Gary Oldman) lives in misery, not allowed to light a fire in the freezing office ...

Blackadder's ChristmasCarol is a one-off comedy special, a parody on Charles Dickens' "A ChristmasCarol". Timeline wise it's set between the third and the fourth series, and is narrated by Hugh Laurie.
Ebenezer Blackadder owns a shop in Victorian England. In a brilliant twist on Blackadder and on Scrooge, he is widely regarded as the nicest man in England. He will go out of his way for anyone and would give away his last penny if it made someone happy. As a result of this though, he is taken advantage of all time, as people know he never says no to anyone. One person who doesn't though is his assistant, Mr. Baldrick, who for once is actually content in his job. But Ebenezer is lonely and miserable, his shop never makes a profit because he gives it all away and he never keeps anything for himself. That all changes though one ...

A ChristmasCarol is a lovely little book in the Mr Men collection 'With added Sparkle'. The cover of the book has a picture of Mr Happy and Mr Mean pulling a sleigh full of presents and the title above this in green and red lettering. The back cover of the book is white and has small pictures showing other titles available in this collection.
The book begins by asking us if Mr Mean has any money, we find out that he has lots which he keeps hidden under his floorboards. He hardly spends any of his money and all he buys to eat for every meal is a can of beans. He even eats them cold as he is too mean to put his cooker on.
Mr Mean has all of this money as he owns a factory which makes piggy banks, he hardly pays his staff any money at all and he only lets them have one day off every year which is Christmas day, he even thinks that ...
