...If you’ve heard the previous two South Park albums, especially the soundtrack for the movie, then you will then know that Matt Stone and Trey Parker can be a dab hand at coming up with twisted songs as well as animated shows. The third, and less well-known album came out with minimal fuss in the Christmas of 1999. Mr Hankey’s Christmas Classics is anything but the Christmas albums we are used to and this is no surprise considering who it’s by. With a mixture of old and new Christmas songs the album has the trademark South Park shocks and humour that the show has got only this time in a truly festive way. It is worth pointing out that this is the prolonged soundtrack to the episode Mr Hankey’s Christmas Classics in the third season of South Park. Advantages: Great Opera Tenor, A truely gifted and talented singer
Disadvantages: Prehaps give Silent night a miss until December.

...there who revel in criticizing Paul Potts to which I must say is a despicable crime to all the Opera world. To date Paul Potts CD 'One Chance' has been a NO. 1 album in 13 Countries which in my opinion speaks for itself. I bought Paul Potts 'One Chance' Christmas Edition CD Album for £14:99 back in December at HMV and it's now only £8;99 which is super value. I know it's not Christmas (far from in fact) but if you can I would go for the Christmas Edition of Paul Potts CD 'One Chance' as there's probably not much difference in the price and Paul Potts Silent Night is a must to listen to over Christmas. Why not look on Ebay also (www.ebay.co.uk) as I have found many a bargain there.... Read review

Advantages: Still the same excellent voice, lyrics, thoughts and tunes. More listenable than her other albums, nice enhanced content.
Disadvantages: Some may argue this is targeted at a more saturated market. The UK probably isn’t really the market for this, the odd weak track and no obvious outstanding track.

...This Way is Jewel Kilcher’s latest album. Jewel is a worldwide multimillion selling singer songwriter, poet, actress etc etc… She’s originally Alaskan but resides in the US and seems to be very popular worldwide but not in the UK. This is Jewel’s fourth album (if you include the Christmas one in 1999) and Jewel fans waited for 3 years for this. The previous albums, Pieces Of You and Spirit were of the folk/country variety, it may be off putting for some but I can guarantee the intelligent music listener a great piece of art. Highlights of her work include “Foolish Games”, “You Were Meant For Me” and “Hands”. In a nutshell, This Way continues from where Jewel left us with Spirit (1998) but the sound is more pop and more diverse, is this a good or bad move??? •... Read review
