...on the other. The amassed songs, spanning a period of two decades, have been arranged in chronological order beginning with a 1963 rendition of “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas” (written by Hugh Martin and Ralph Blane) and ending with a 1975 Don Coasta arrangement of “Christmas Memories”.
Some of the highlights from the album are the two tracks Sinatra recorded with BingCrosby, “Go Tell It on the Mountain” and “We wish you the Merriest”, both exemplifying perfect Christmas swing. The two crooners are evidently at ease with each other and compliment each other wonderfully.
Another track to note is “The Twelve Days of Christmas”, Sinatra sings with his three children Tina, Nancy and FrankSinatra Jr (I wonder just how embarrassed they are by the recording now).

Why is it every Christmas I find myself getting a FrankSinatra craze (am I the only one ?). Is it because FrankSinatra is one of the best singers of all time or is it the fact I love to sing along with his catchy lyrics maybe so, but did you know that FrankSinatra was once called quote: "The Voice" because there's never been a better voice for a microphone than his. As a big fan of FrankSinatra I have more than a few of his CD's but there's only one that will always find its way to the top of the pile in my collection around this time of year,and that's the FrankSinatraChristmas Album.

I'm sure there's not a person reading this who hasn't heard of FrankSinatra. But I felt the review could do with a quick biography of Ol' Blue Eyes (one of his nicknames), almost to set the scene:
FrankSinatra was born to Italian-American parents on December 12th 1915 in New Jersey. His dad was a boxer/fireman and his mum a barmaid. Inspired by seeing his boy-hood hero BingCrosby sing live, he took up singing - first for fun, and then in competitions
In 1939 he was "discovered" and signed for a band, but in 1942 decided to go solo. Throughout the '50s he starred in a number of film roles, most famously Guys and Dolls, but he actually won an Oscar for his part in "From Here to Eternity"
