...Here Come The Drums - Rogue Traders****(and a half)
You can't have avoided the insanely catchy single Voodoo Child from the latest huge act to hit the UK charts from Australia (and Neighbours). Yes Izzie/Izzy and her mates the Rogue Traders release their debut over these waters. So is it much cop or is Natalie Barometer (it's like the new Sugababe these surnames are too much sorry Natalie… Bassingthwaighte) gonna have to go back and have an affair with Harold Bishop?
1. Believer - The opening track from the Rogue Traders (I wonder where they did get there name from) has a 'hey, hey, hey' opening like that Prodigy song we can't remember… Fire starter! It then bizarrely starts to sound like Gwen Stefani singing over a hard rocky Pink song, all guitars and hard drums! Damn, it its not half bad. "Just come on and say you love me, one...

Advantages: A number of highly infectious, incredibly catchy songs Disadvantages: The tracks don't sound as good on CD as they did live

This was a great loss for UK music as Adequate Seven were an exceptional live band; however their music still lives on today through the records that they released.
'Here On Earth' kicks off with the catchy single...

...with Robert Fripp) and his Discreet Music.
Only Here Come the Warm Jets is something different. It is an unusual beginning in many ways when considered against some of her later works. Only his second solo album is comparable (Taking Tiger Mountain [By Strategy]) as they are both song based albums. Another Green World and Before and After Science may well have conventional songs (well, as conventional as Eno ever gets) but they also show his leaning towards pure ambient, though in Another Green World, his first excursion, tracks like Sombre Reptile preface his Ambient music and yet use a lot of conventional instruments. There is clear guitar and percussive sounds. His later work often uses ‘found’ sounds and those tapped simply from nature.
HCTWJ though is the album Eno made after he split from Roxy Music after For Your Pleasure. Many...
