...A club recording first and foremost, Discovery — the long-awaited follow-up to French duo Daft Punk's (aka producer/DJs Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo) 1997 house classic Homework — mixes a formula of analog synths, Vocoder vocals and dancefloor beats with everything from disco and old-school funk to heart-pounding techno.
Discovery announces itself with "One More Time," a club hit that makes an incessant hook out of a familiar clubber's call-to-arms ("One more time, we're gonna celebrate ... don't stop the dancing"), establishing the set's dancefloor tone. The house sensibility of party songs such as "Crescendolls," "High Life" and "Face to Face" gives way to '80s funk-pop in "Too Long." At times, organic and electronic contrast, but that doesn't stop the groove on "Voyager," with its guttural bass track...

Advantages: Electronic Unique sound Disadvantages: some repetetive tracks!
...Daft Punk - Discovery.
Released - March 13th 2001
Daft Punk of German origin (Thomas Bangelter/Guy-Manuel de Homem Christo) released their first album 'Homework' in 1997.
I bought this album a while ago after listening to the CD in a friends car! I was amazed, this was really fresh and interesting, and it was unusual to the UK music scene. I found Daft Punk a unique sound from the word go! I rushed out to but this album! The Single 'One More time' became a hit, and much of Daft Punks music was featured in the GAP advertisements.The Album contains 14 tracks, including Aerodynamic and Digital love. The CD insert includes a pullout poster, and also all the lyrics to all 14 tracks. The CD also includes a Card with access to the 'Daft Club' instructions are included. The Music sounds Electronic, and has a dance beat but this is not so...

...My best album of all time! I love Daft Punk’s Homework too, but this one is definitely my favourite. Many don’t know who Daft Punk are: the guys are called Thomas Bangaltar and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo.
This much-awaited album came out 5 years after Homework and has a variety perfect for dance fans.
The best way to review this album is to go through some of the tracks on it. I’m going to start with my favourites:
Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This is such an uplifting track and I listen to it over and over again. I’ll never tire of it.
A magnificent track, these are the lyrics:
“ Work it harder, make it better
Do it faster, makes us stronger
More than ever, hour after
Our work is never over”
Such a fantastic track!! :-)
One More Time...
