Dre's Understudy But Sure Doesn't Sound Like It
Review of Doggy Style [PA] - Snoop Doggy Dogg by  Chris_Bridges

Advantages: Tha Doggfather Himself Snoop
Disadvantages: Only 13 Tracks

...Rap music some idiots might say it's been outdated by mosh bands and so forth but i disagree very strongly raps been going since the late eighties and is still smokin'. The reason I'm doing this op on doggystyle by none other than snoop dogg is that it was the best rap album no let me rephrase that it was the best album of 93. 93 I hear you say but it's 2001 thats eight years ago I say to well done on your a-level in maths. although it is eight years old classic albums stick in the mind especially if you love rap which I do. This album was released by death row records the biggest rap record label back then with the infamous suge knight at the helm the album is also produced by Dr. Dre and when you get someone that big producing your album you know it's gonig to be good. Here is the track listing for doggystyle 1. Bathtub 2. G... Read review

...), he left the group in early 1991 and co-founded Death Row Records with Suge Knight. He dropped a seminal debut album (The Chronic), and went on to introduce the world to newer, younger west-coast stars such as Snoop Dogg, Tha Dogg Pound, Lady of Rage, and RBX. After having problems with Suge, he left and started his own label Aftermath, and signed Eminem, who already has one of the greatest careers in hip-hop. He is currently working on his third album, which is said to be his last. Eazy E went on to have a slept-on solo career, yet also discovered Bone Thugs N Harmony in the early 90s, as well as got diagnosed with HIV. He sadly died of AIDS in 1995, years before he and his other members could reconcile. MC Ren practically disappeared off the map, occassionally popping up. DJ Yella now has moved on to direct adult films (thanks Astromurf... Read review

Love is weakness, pain is strength, Pain IS Love
Review of Pain Is Love [PA] - Ja Rule by  missixty

Advantages: Great talent
Disadvantages: Required taste

.... But it was a feeling for me to pay homage to him. But I had to get clearance from Afeni [Shakur, Tupac's mother] and Suge [Knight, of Death Row Records], and they said, "We're gonna get you this record and let you have it because we feel you genuinely have a love for 'Pac and genuinely are doing this in homage to 'Pac. If we thought you were doing this to get something, gain something from it, you would never do it. You understand." Like I said, it's the feeling that cuts through. They don't feel like I have any intentions to try and sell extra records by having this record on my record. I just wanna have it on there to pay homage to one of the best MCs to ever touch the mic. And that's all, and they understand that 100 percent. They didn't ask me for no money, not at all. They just gave it to me and said, "You have our blessings." Best bit: Ja has done... Read review
