Dr Dre Whey Hey Review ofChronic, The [PA] - Dr. Dreby
pjm123
Advantages: lots Disadvantages: tracks bit samey
This, is a fantastic album, and I'd advise any of you hippy hoppy lovers to get out there and buy it! This is Dre's first album, and one definatly one of raps masterpieces. The beats on this album are different to the familiar 2001 tunes, and are a little dated, but his lyrics remain as good as ever. The beats are very familiar, and are very 'techno' and are very similar to the early works of Snoop Dogg. An example of Dre's lyrics:- 'What would we ... ...I'd have walnuts' Very funny! hehe. Well, enough of Dr. Dre's nuts, and onto his songs: Chronic Intro: A great introduction to a great album, not really much of rapping in this, just a great beat, along with a bit of backgroud to Dre. Wit Dr. Dre Once again a great beat, with Snoop Dogg joining in Dre, with some great vocals. Let Me Ride: Probably Dre's most famous song on 'The Chronic', which is hugely popular in the U.S.A. and the U.K. Dre's best ...

Advantages: Some classic tunes Disadvantages: Not his best stuff
Back in the day, long before all the No Limit and Cash Money trash ever saw the light of day, there was a little record company called Death Row. Very few of the people who consider themselves rap fans today have ever even heard the name. But those who were rap fans then or those who have had the insight to go back and purchase these classic albums know exactly what Death Row was all about. The super stable featuring 2Pac, Dre, Daz Dillinger, a young ... ...music. The Chronic personifies gangsta rap like no other album before it, and still remains one of the greatest rap albums of all time for various reasons. First of all is the production. The beats provided by Dre on this album will make you feel like you're right in the middle of Compton on a hot Saturday afternoon, bouncing down Crenshaw in your low-rider. Keep in mind that the beats do give the album a very old school feel, and not everyone is ...

Advantages: Great songs, appearences from fellow rappers and sublime lyrics Disadvantages: none
The first shot fired in the G-Funk hip-hop revolution, Dr. Dre's The Chronic withstands the test of time. Originally released way back in 1992, it was the first release from Suge Knight's Deathrow Records label. Despite being recorded seven years ago, back when the hip-hop ear was very different, The Chronic seems to sound fresh and new every time it is played. The album not only was popular with hip-hop fans though, because it sold four million ... ...hip-hop stars as Snoop Doggy Dogg, Kurupt, Daz Dillinger, Lady Of Rage, Warren G (Dr. Dre's brother), RBX and the smooth-voiced Nate Dogg. Another thing that is special about the album is Dr. Dre himself. Unlike the new rappers who are coming out these days, you hear and understand every single word that is being said by every single person on this album. Unlike label cliques like Cash Money and No Limit, who have boring and repetitive beats and ...

Wit Dre Day Review ofChronic, The [PA] - Dr. Dreby
Juk
Advantages: It's one of the best G-Funk stuff about, but I think Snoop's Doggystyle is better. Disadvantages: No Disadvantages
" THE CHRONIC " Dr.Dre's 1st Solo album after he split from N.W.A., On Dre's and Suge Knight's new Record Label DEATH ROW RECORDS (1992).
The Chronic was definately the best album of 1992 and the only album that beats the chronic is Snoop Doggy Dogg's Debut album Doggystyle in 1993, them two albums were definately the best rap albums of the 90's The Chronic wouldn't have been at all what it was without Snoop Doggy Dogg and all the others such as ... ...D.O.C, Rage, Kurupt, + a few extra's. Most of the tracks on The Chronic are pretty good especially Nuthin' But A "G" Thang, Wit Dre Day, Rat-Tat-Tat-Tat, Stranded On Death Row, The Day The Niggaz Took Over, Let Me Ride, The Chronic [INTRO] and the bonus track, that "Bitches Ain't Shit" one that one's pretty good, Oh yeah and the start of DEEEZ NUUUTS thats brilliant too. The Chronic takes the piss out of Easy E a bit and Snoop Can Do some Brilliant ...

...7 years after releasing his first album, "The Chronic", which became an instant classic in 1993, DrDre then released "Chronic 2001" in 1999; and it is well worth the wait. DrDre is a hip hop pioneer who revolutionised the hip hop genre when he and 4 others formed the infamous group, N.W.A. Controversial at the very least; it was music that young black people in the "ghettos" of America could relate to. N.W.A effectively started the whole 'gangsta rap' genre, and their producer DrDre was one of the most influential throughout the movement. However, after a fall out over a record deal, N.W.A split up with Ice Cube, Eazy E, MC Ren and MC Yella going their separate ways and Eazy E and DrDre having what is referred to in hip hop as a "beef".
DrDre, who admits he is a perfectionist in everything he does, then collaborated with a young...
