Advantages: Freindly site , paid surveys and reviews , easy to use , reliable payments Disadvantages: Too many bugs and gliches on site , rewards could be higher .
I started browsing the internet in Autumn 2006 with a view to earning a little pocket money . Until that time I did not realsie just how many sites are out there . I knew fron common sense that anywhere that asked me to lay out money was probably not a good proposition .
Initially I joined Ciao just for the surveys and it was actually a few months before I wrote any articles . The surveys were on a variety of subjects and appeared as a link via my e.mail account when avavilable . Payments vary from a measly 35p for a small survey up to a couple of pounds . My Hubby recently had one for £4.50 and I was amazed .
However there are a couple of annoyances . Once you begin to write reviews the amount of surveys you receive tends to drop off . Probably why Hubby got the £4.50 one as he rarely writes and has only done 2 or 3 reviews ...

Advantages: Worthwhile Disadvantages: Can take up a lot of your time!
Ciao is a wonderful service. No, honestly! It really is! Not only does it help people all over the world to make better informed buying decisions, it actually pays you for helping those people! And that can't be bad, can it?
There are many people on Ciao who can help you. There are fellow Ciao members who will give you valuable help, guidance and advice. There are also people who will drive you NUTS!!! with their half-baked ideas of how Ciao should be run and, more importantly, how you should use Ciao.
There are many different ideas amongst your fellow Ciao-ers about how long a review should be, how many reviews you should post in a week or a day, what style you should use, and so on and so forth.
My advice to you? "Listen" to every piece of advice that you are given and use your own judgement and commonsense to try to sort ...

Advantages: I've ranted Disadvantages: I've had to rant
I am afraid this may be a bit of a rant. It may or may not be VH - to be honest I probably won't know if it is or not as things stand, it may not be my finest ever work, but frustrated with ciao I am...
A few days ago, and long enough ago for me to give it a go and for any issues to be ironed out, out of the blue the ciao interface changed - as anybody reading this will probably know.
Much as I would like to embrace change - the new "improved" ciao has been driving me mad since. There has been a community announcement, no doubt at the clamouring of members but along with change have come multiple glitches.
Firstly writing has become a harder and more frustrating thing - formatting just isn't working. Annoying.
Next ratings - fair enough return rating shouldn't necessarily be a culture, but ...
