Advantages: great read, interesting hard to put down Disadvantages: coming to the end
...I absolutely love reading autobiographies especially by people I idolise but sometimes its nice to read someones that you are not too familar with and you soon build up knowledge on that person.
Thats what I did on this occasion.
I have always liked CillaBlack, loved watching Blind Date and Surprise Surprise but too be honest thats all I knew about her.
After reading this fantastic autobiography I feel I know a lot more about her. The book gives a clear picture of what life she has lead, and in my opinion she is a very honest person with a great personality.
The book is called CILLABLACK, whats it all about?
Quite a large book with 396 pages but you will have it read in no time at all as its quite difficult to put down.
The book was first published in Great Britain in 2003 and she has dedicated the book to her late husband Bobby...

Advantages: A good read, lots of information, showbiz anecdotes Disadvantages: 'lorra' and 'kinda' !
...Being an avid reader of autobiographies, I have learned that the people who you admire the most, don’t always write the best books. I wouldn’t say I was a fan of CillaBlack, but I had read some great reviews of her book ‘What’s It All About?’ and wanted to see if I would enjoy it too.
I don’t dislike Cilla. In fact, I rather admire the ‘60s pop star Cilla and two of her songs – Anyone Who Had A Heart and You’re My World – are amongst my favourites. But I’m not a fan of Blind Date and, like most people, I became weary of too much Cilla on TV in the ‘80s and ‘90s.
After reading her autobiography though, I feel I have a good picture of her and can judge her more fairly now. Although she will never be my favourite TV personality, I do admire her for her...

...Unlike any other autobiography I’ve read, CillaBlack's has something very different – a message. Usually, a “star” plans on writing an autobiography. They seem to forget that they’re in their early twenties, and have nothing to say, but they still go ahead with it, for the money. Cilla could have written an autobiography at any time in her forty years career, but she didn’t, and that just proves that she’sin it for the fun; not the money.
And she mentions that numerous times in the book. “I’d have done it all for nothing”, she kept repeating herself, and I believe she would. She enjoyed it so much, and that shone through in the book, that she’d have gone up on stage and expected nothing. Nothing. The money was just an added bonus, and the papers knew she was...
