The cover of the album is blue and has a picture of all the men standing on tightropes holding their arms and hands out. The title is above this in white lettering. The back cover is also blue and has the track list.
The tracks on this album are as follow:-
1. The Garden - This songs starts off with Mark doing the vocals. The song starts off as a ballad and Gary then joins in with the chorus and it then has more of a pop theme but overall I would say this is a definite ballad. Jason's vocals are great and it is nice to here him singing again when he sings a verse. The others are also heard on this track and all the vocals really work well.
2. Greatest Day - This song is currently number 1 in the UK charts and has received a lot of airplay so may of you will be familiar with it. It has a great pop feel and I am so pleased they used this song to promote the album. Gary's vocals are definitely sounding great on this song.
3. Hello - The minute I heard the beginning of this song I said to my hubby that it would be another Number 1. Mark does the lead vocals on this song and it has a very upbeat feel. It reminds me very much of the track Shine and it is very catchy and always makes me feel happy when listening to it.
4. Said it All - This is another soft song on the album but not quite a full ballad as the track also has a pop feel. Gary is again the lead vocals on this track and his great at hitting the high notes. The others do feature on the song and their harmonies are all good and really suit the song.
5. Julie - Mark is the lead vocals on this track and it is a sweet song which has another great catchy tune. This is a more up tempo pop song with a softer section in the verses which give it a nice twist and the chorus is definitely the more up tempo part of this song.
6. The Circus - This track is the one which the album was named after. Gary opens the song and it starts as a ballad. There are some great lyrics on this song. The vocals are also very good on this song. I personally feel this song has a depressing edge but depends on the mood I am in when listening to it.
7. How Did It Come to This - Another great pop song which has Jason opening the song with some great vocals. The rest of the group do some great harmonies which really add to this song. This song has a great up tempo feel and it is very catchy.
8. Up All Night - This song always gets me toe tapping! It starts off with a great beat and the vocals are all great and it is another song which features all of the group singing different parts. I would say that Mark's vocals are maybe the ones which stand out on this track.
9. What is Love - Back to the ballads, Howard leads this song which has some great lyrics. I can also hear Gary's vocals stand out over the others at times during this song. The harmonies are also very good in this song and add to it.
10. You - Gary is the lead vocals on this ballad. The song has a very pleasant tune. The lyrics are all very good and have a lot of meaning and it seems very heartfelt the way it has been sung and presented.
11. Hold Up A Light - Mark again starts this song which has a more up beat feel. The use of the orchestral instruments have given this track a great feel. The song does pick up after about a minute and it definitely is another very catchy song.
12. Here - This is a great track to end the album on, Howard and Gary are both standing out with their vocals on this track but the others do feature in the chorus and the harmonies are all excellent. The song has a mixture of a soft pop song and a ballad.
WOW, after waiting a year I went straight to the shops yesterday and bought this CD. I am so pleased that I did. The 12 songs are all super and there is a great mix with the pop and ballads. The vocals on all of the tracks are excellent and the boys have really made a great album.
I was pleased to hear Jason singing more on this album as on the last he only lead the vocals on one song and I loved it so I am pleased he is singing more on this one as personally I feel he has a great voice. I would say that the old days are long gone where Gary lead in every song which is great as we are able to hear the others trying to put their stamp on different songs and it really does make the album better as the songs are all so different.
My personal favourite on this album is Hello, it has a really feel good factor and Marks vocals are excellent. I will again say that if they release this as a single it will definitely be Number 1. But saying that I think that if they released a silly song like Bar Bar Black Sheep they would still get a number 1!
At the end of the tracks if you let the CD play on for a few minutes there is a surprise song. I was shocked when this came on. The track is very strange and not one I would associate with the group. It has a very swing feel with the beat and the vocals are a bit weird but in a good way as the song is very fun. A very nice surprise indeed from the boys as there is no mention of this on the CD.
Inside the CD cover there is a small booklet which has the words to all of the songs on the CD except for the final surprise track. Here there is also some nice pictures of the men doing different poses on a trapeze. There are also some thank you's from the boys to all the people who helped in the making of this album.
The CD was released on 1st December 2008 by Polydor Limited. I paid a great price of £9.77 from Tesco for my copy which is a great price.
I highly recommend this CD to all Take That fans or any one who enjoys great music!
Advantages: Great songs, sing a long Disadvantages: None
The Circus – Take That
Who are they – Take That are a band, made up of four guys from Manchester, Gary Barlow, Howard Donald, Jason Orange and Mark Owen. They first came out in the early 90’s and I have to say that I was a fan then and am still a fan now. I do think it’s funny when I see the kids now who have only known them as a new band and feel priveledged to know that I liked them first time around too.
Take That are now the most successful ... ...selling UK live pop act in history. I am not a crazed fan, I never cried when they broke up or never really had their t-shirts, posters on my wall etc but I do think they are a great, fun band. I saw them live about two years ago and I have to say it was one of the best concerts I have been to. They just looked like they were having a really great time, got on like great friends and were really entertaining the crowd.
Their newest album, The Circus ...

I was really pleased when Take Than reformed as a group in 2005 (albeit without Robbie Willims but he doesn't really seem to be any great loss!) as I have always liked their music. I definitely think though that the reformed group has a lot more maturity that is reflected through their music than what they did when they were more thought of as a boy band. My love of Take That is obviously quite well known though as I received their latest album - ... ...released on 1st December 2008 and apparently went straight to number 1 in the album chart demonstrating the popularity that there is for Take That.
The very first time I listened to the album I was really impressed. It includes a couple of tracks that I knew quite well along with a number of others that are fast becoming favourites! There are twelve tracks in total and if you listen all the way through it lasts just over forty minutes. It is the ...

Advantages: Mostly Great Tracks, Songs From Amazing Circus Tour Disadvantages: Some weak, 'boring', unmemorable songs
Oohh, I apologise for the so-cheesy-it's-cringeworthy title - sounded quite good at the time... Anyway, to the important bit! This was bought for me as a present earlier in the year, and I am still listening to it frequently now! From my point of view (but I am a self-confessed Take That freak!) this album does not let them down, and is full of great, feel-good songs. Track List: 1. The Garden 2. Greatest Day 3. Hello 4. Said It All 5. Julie 6. The ... ...All Night 9. What Is Love 10. You 11. Hold Up A Light 12. Here In my opinion, there are no 'bad' tracks, but some are better than others, and some don't really stand out and are a bit boring (just my opinion!). I don't really listen to 'What is Love', 'You', 'The Circus' or 'Here' very much. I love 'The Garden', 'Greatest Day', 'Said It All' and especially, 'Hold Up A Light'. I was disappointed with 'The Circus' (track, not album!) because I thought ...

Advantages: Addictive, good mixture, great vocals, well produced Disadvantages: Bit cheesy if you're not into the whole pop scene
'''Take That's The Circus largely builds on their last album, Beautiful World.'''
Like the 2006 album, _The Circus_ is made up of a load of catchy and upbeat numbers. I don't think there was one song I heard that I wasn't tapping my feet and (trying to!) sing to when I first heard the album. Like Take That's other work, Gary leads on most songs - _The Garden_ and _Greatest Day_ being notable examples. But all four really have awesome voices, so ... ...and _How Did It Come to This_ where the other three take the lead. It's probably the most notable difference between Take That's older work and their newer album; how the singing is more shared out. It really adds a lot to the band, providing newer dimensions. The album varies from poppy and rosy tunes like _Hello_ to diverse tracks like _What is Love_ and _Here_. It's an album for many moods. The CD itself comes with lyrics to all the tracks. There ...

Advantages: Great tracks when you listen carefully Disadvantages: Bit slow to start with but gets going
I waited a long while for this album to come along - when it did, I was a bit disappointed that it didnt have the catchy-ness of Beautiful World. I needed to spend time working with this new album to be honest. However, this all went away, after spending time listening and listening and listening. This is very cleverly put together by the band and shows what truely exceptional artists they really are. Their song writing gets better and better with ...

Advantages: listening to the great new songs Disadvantages: having to listen to the old songs
TakeThat one of the biggest bands in the world, TakeThat reformed in 2008 have released some great songs. There are fans of TakeThat would liked them from the begainng and the are fans like me who like they since their comeback. I have listened to the old music and i dont like it, they cant even sing, but know they have learnt to sing and make there old songs alot better. This is the part of attraction of The Circus but the biggest by far is the chance to listen to their new songs such as The Greatest Day which is an amazing song. TakeThat lyrics in their new songs compete with the greatest bands in the world at the moment such as Coldplay with Viva La Vide and Viloet Hill and OneRepublic with Mercy and Apologize. Some people say this is a rebirth or a comeback but i call this the start of TakeThat has they have just become a good ...
this is the best ever album i have heard. Said it all is by far the best song on there but all the songs are the takethat quality that everyone is expecting. It is definately worth any amount of money that it is on sale for. It has 12 great songs with one hidden at the end of one just like wooden boat from beautiful world. Great to listen to and it's funny how the album song the circus is actually about a circus show. I think that this album should definately be in your christmas wish list or you should go out and buy it now. It's takethat you know their music is great and it has the number one single at the moment "greatest day" which is such a great song. ...
Advantages: Lots of variety Disadvantages: Experiments aren't always that strong
"Electric Circus" is the fifth album from the Conscious Chicago MC, Common. It came out in 2002, three years before he really broke out when he was given lots of Kanye West production on "Be". Since he is considered to be "alternative" in terms of Hip Hop, he isn't limited in any way to what he does, and here he takes advantage of this by choosing to implement Electronica, Funk and Neo-Soul to his work
1. "Ferris Wheel" (Intro)
2. "Soul Power"
J Dilla does the beats here, and you know that when he's behind the production, you are bound to have it come up with great results, and they work fantastically well with the way in which Common performs his raps. He refers to all the people who have gone on to aid him in the world when it comes to music.
**Four Stars**
