Advantages: It is the Clash Disadvantages: A few Dodgy Things Here
...and girls, this is The Clash and I will punch anyone who does not like them……….
“1977” – This was first played live at the 100 club punk festival on 20th September 1976. It is a superb piece of angry garage punk raw and simple, capturing the anger and desire for change at the time……
“Listen” – A surprisingly chilled out instrumental that hints at the fact that the band had ambitions to record and perform more than just Rock and Roll. Though there is nothing wrong with being a rock and roll band that plays only rock and roll.
“Jail Guitar Doors” – this was a song preformed by Joe Strummers pervious band the 101’ers. Recorded by the clash with different lyrics, again is a great piece of garage punk rock and very reminiscent of the early Who in parts.
“The City of The Dead” – Sees the clash use horns and is a great piece of pub rock, nothing...

Advantages: It's by the Beatles. Disadvantages: The Beatles weren't always perfect.

Advantages: Very original fusion of genres. Disadvantages: It doesn't work most of the time.
...of the few -only?- bands to fuse together two great genres. The traditional sounds of Irish music. The Celtic fiddle and drums and those sleepy Irish accordions or 'button boxes'...oh and lots of Flute or whistle too ... with Dub and Reggae music!
Yes you read that correctly. Celtic Reggae is the result and what a result it is too.
The beats are predominantly that of dub: Heavily filled with throbbing, lazy repetitive bass lines that the most stressed out person would find it impossible not to relax to when it is playing! This is of course the usual way with dub music. The ambiance of the bass line..the effect it has on the mind can be quite strong. Apparently there is a science behind this too(look up alpha waves and music on google!). These guys, on the first few bars you hear, sound like they are going to be bringing you the usual sound...
