...Dr Dre has come back with an album full of quality lyrics and the production is outstanding. There are amazing collaboraitons on this album, and Dre has been extremely careful in the way he has written and produced it. 'Forgot about Dre' is an example of this. Dre's magic is put to work here, and you can hear the true quality and style to which his talents take him. I hadn't listened to rap music for a long time, but once I heard the Dre album, I haven't turned back. Obviously, this is a very explicit album so it wouldn't appeal to everybody, however, it is a real storyteller with added humour and more serious notes. If you are into rap, you will without a doubt, be into Dre's new Chronic 2000....

...Dr Dre is one of the rap world's most known faces and is working on hit songs such as Still DRE with Snoop Doggy Dogg to working with Eminem on hits like Forgot about Dre. On his most recent album, Dr Dre shows his style is still going strong with great new releases and also selling many copies of his album and now with Eminem on his record label. Dr Dre is sure to carry on for quite a few years yet as a great rap artist and is sure to carry on sales of not just his albums but his upcoming singles....

...Dr.Dre, great producer, good rapper. I bought Chronic 2001 because I am a fan of Eminem's and so I thought I had better check out what his producer's album would be like.
Am I disappointed? No. On first listen, Dre's album doesn't hit you as being great. However, you have to listen to it a couple of times so you get used to the songs and they grow on you. I was going to return it, but I actually bothered to listen to it carefully and I'm glad I didn't return it!
Chronic 2001 is a great album. It has 20 tracks and the special edition has a c-d rom element. The album features other wicked rappers such as Snoop, Xzibit, Nate Dogg and Eminem. These rappers work well together, the songs sound great.
