What is Trance?
There isn't a single genre as subdivided as dance music. Trance, house, acid, hardcore, breakbeat, gabber. What do they mean?
Well don't worry. By 'trance', the music industry is not saying 'music only a drugged up raver would like'. This couldn't be further from the truth. Trance music is at the taseful, inoffensive and slower end of the dance spectrum, and is therefore more popular and well known, for example everyone will have heard Robert Miles's 'Children' numerous times before. Features of trance music include melodies being layered up upon one another slowly, and so is less about a brash & loud anthem but a carefully and delicately designed track.
Review
This is not to say that this compilation does not hold brilliant anthems however. On the contrary, this album isn't called 'classic' for nothing. I probably recognised about 70% of the tracks, I wonder how you'd compare :D .
I found the sound quality superb, which is a real crucial element for trance music. The variety between tracks was also enough to be able to play through the entire album, which leads me to my next point...What with the lengthy & flowing mixing between songs, and the slower beat. I found this music perfect travelling music. Sure you can dance around to it; but its slower rhythm and comforting bass lines make for a good album to simple put in your earphones and daydream to on a coach or bus.

Final Thoughts
Being currently on sale for around £11, I think you get a fairly good deal with this compilation - though be aware that the impressive sounding '3 discs' contain just 45 tracks between them, however the average track is over 4 minutes long so you get plenty of music for your money. Classics by nature do not go out of date, so I wouldn't be reluctant in buying this album simply because it's newer, more expensive sequels have come out. Classic Euphoria 2 contains re-mixes of tracks that are already in here! So why not get the original version, rather than a sequel that has to make do with the leftovers?
I recommend that if you like any dance music that you buy this album if you are looking for a good compilation of 'easy listenin' dance music.

Advantages: ALL THE CLASSICS FROM YESTERYEARS - GOOD MIXES - SOUND QUALITY Disadvantages: SOME SONGS I WOULDN'T RATE AS A "CLASSIC"
...your comments about the latest Classic Euphoria CD I have decided to review the original Classic Euphoria CD which I have had for 12 months+ and must admitt it is still played today.
Well this compilation CD consists of 3 very good yet slightly different CDs which capture all the songs of the 90s up to latest remixes from legends such as DJ Tiesto, Robert Miles, Minimalistix, Matt Darey and many many more.
I will start by commenting on how well ... ...Time to Burn and the classic that is William Orbit's - Barber's Adagio for Strings which most of you will know Tiesto remixed it to his own harderd version which most of you will know.
CD Three is a calm compilation of dance tracks mainly from the late 90s and early 2000s but it is a CD I most listen to in the car if I'm driving long distances as it believe it makes the journey go alot quicker when your nodding your head - obviously keeping to the ...

Advantages: great music, great artists Disadvantages: some poor tunes but only a couple
I bought this album last year and it is quite simply brilliant. I am a great fan of dance music and this album has all the great tracks on it. From Public Domain to Robert miles. I bought this album for £14.99 and even at that price i was shocked because it is a triple cd album of pure brilliance, great value for money club.
I am really into my clubbing and anthems of this album are regularly heard when im out. I also listen to this album before ... ...are brilliant of course as there are so many songs on the album there are songs i dont like as with any album but the majority of them are brilliant.
This is the best album i have and goes great alongside my dave pearce dance anthems. These two albums are the best on the market.
I would recommend this great album to all potential buyers. ...

...is much better than the Classic Euphoria Level 2 which I also have. Highly chilled and with top tracks like; Chicane "Saltwater", Art of Trance "Madagacar", William Orbit " Barber's Adagio for Strings", Olive "You're Not Alone", Push "Strange World", to name but a few.
It features long mixes and about 3 "Chicane" numbers which are all brilliant. Not deeply chilled but not intrusive.
Sit down and relax to this compilation, it does wonders for me. ...

Advantages: NEWER REMIXES - OLD CLASSICS - MIXED FLUENTLY Disadvantages: WON'T BE MANY MORE AFTER THIS - MOST SONGS COVERED
After buying this album I put it on late Saturday night and couldn't help but turn it up after every song not that you knew when one song started and the other finished as it was mixed to within a milli-second of perfection!!
I usually buy most Trance/Electronic/Euphoric albums which are released or at least get a promo copy from the record label to sample them as I am heavily into my music both at home and on the club scene.
I wouldn't say it is the BEST album I have ever bought but it is definatly high up there with the best considering it has the all the tunes from yester-year renovated and mixed into this album which just flows out your sound system like it was meant to be.
I also purchased the first ClassicEuphoria album which was another great CD compilation but this one is just a step up from that one and it'd be great ...
