Classic German Movie Songs - Original Soundtrack

Advantages: Good music, funny dialogues, nice booklet inside, good price,...
Disadvantages: Maybe a few songs are a bit too long for me

...Tarantino’s got some personal style, clearly recognisable in his movies. This style have a few important ingredients, like good and ‘street-like’ dialogues (something he forgot in his last movie, ‘Kill Bill’, specially the first of the two parts), action, lots of characters, some of them really weird, violence, and a few more things, including, and with big importance, the music. Tarantino choose the music and the song of his movies himself. He gives a lot of importance to this fact of his movies, and so, its usually come out really good soundtracks, that happen to be as successful as the movies they come from. And a good soundtrack, is what came out from the movie ‘Pulp Fiction’, probably the best soundtrack from any Tarantino’s movie (well, Reservoir Dog’s is also really good). Advantages: great mix of songs, classic tracks, summer-feel
Disadvantages: you may not like all the songs

...I had only seen the film once and bought this CD on the offchance that it was good. Have to admit - I was really impressed. It's one of those soundtracks where you can place most of the songs in the fim; as opposed to listening and thinking 'that was in the film?' The soundtrack kicks off with Pink and William Orbit's mix of 'Feel Good Time' - it's upbeat and racey, and totally fits it s role in the film; used during the dirt-bike race. The next few songs - Nickleback's 'Saturday Night' Alright (For Fighting)' and the remix of David Bowie's original 'Rebel Rebel' are upbeat and good songs in their own right - there's a good deal of quite rocky/indie tracks on this album. The next two songs are classics: Electric Six is pretty much famous for 'Danger! High Voltage' - it's racey and was very modern at the time of the film... Read review

...recorded. Ben E King presents us with an all time R&B classic with this offering. 06: The Righteous Brothers - Unchained Melody Before anyone groans, no it's not Robson & Jerome! Performed by the original artists, Unchained Melody is taken from the movie "Ghost". This version is by far the best I have ever heard and is another all time classic.. We really get to hear the wide pitch variations of Bill Medley and Bobby Hatfield and although the song is very slow and sometimes 'whiney', you can't help but like it. 07: Maria McKee - Show Me Heaven Taken from the Tom Cruise movie "Days of Thunder", Maria McKee really belts out the lyrics here. At the start of the track, you think it is going to be a very soft, gentle song. Wrong! This woman can really reach... Read review
