Album Notes: After his initial teen-angel stardom gave way to a mid-career slump, Frank Sinatra signed with Capitol Records in 1953, and saw his star rise once again. This second volume of his Capitol hits retrospective is a filler-free string of classics, including a previously unreleased version of "This Can't Be Love."

SUMMARY
I'm not going to try and make out this is the best Christmas Album of all time but it's certainly got all of FrankSinatra's classic Christmas songs on it.. I would have no hesitation at all in recommending this CD and I do know that FrankSinatra is not to everyone's taste...

Advantages: It isn't another low budget set of reissues by some cheap no mark label Disadvantages: Does there have to be any!?
...This fantastic collection tracks FrankSinatra from 1953 up until 1961. These were the years he spent with Captiol Records, the label that picked Sinatra up after he was unashamedly dumped by his previous label. Capitol played a big role in turning Sinatra into what we all know as one of the biggest and most successful recording artists of the 20th Century. This set shows you the pairings of Frank and the likes of arrangers such as Axel Stordahl and Nelson Riddle as well as Billy May. The men partly responsible for the brilliance of songs such as "I'm Walking Behind You" (originally a hit for Eddie Fisher) and "South Of The Border". These CDs take you on a chronological journey through classic tracks such as Come Fly With Me, I've Got You Under My Skin, The Lady Is A Tramp and Pennies From Heaven. Also includes a 20 page booklet!...

Advantages: Cheap, great value, some superb tracks Disadvantages: some duff tracks, poor insert
...under par but still of higher quality than a lot of live recordings I have heard from other artists.
Track 1, this is the classic 'Come fly with me' sung as only Sinatra can sing it.
Track 2, 'Begin the beguine' great song but not the best version by a mile.
Track 3, 'Dancing in the dark' er a miss I'm afraid
Track 4, 'You make me feel so young' I sing along to this one everytime I hear it.
Track 5, 'Love me or leave me' Bye Bye Frank
Track 6, 'On the sunny side of the street' Bright and breezy easy listening type song.
Track 7, 'Blue Skies' Now we are getting in the swing of things
Track 8, 'All the way' Another classic from the man
Track 9, 'Ghost of a chance' not with this one Frank
Track 10, 'Night and day' Passable version
Track 11, 'Somebody loves me' OK but not the best track
Track 12, 'Just one...
