...The Smashing Pumpkins' self induced demise at the turn of the century has left a void in the growth of my music collection that simply can't be filled. Although Pumpkins' frontman and driving force Billy Corgan continues to produce quality material with Zwan (aided by fellow ex Pumpkin and percussion phenomenon Jimmy Chamberlain), his music has mellowed considerably following a decade of angst and emotion fuelled brilliance. Ask any casual fan which album they identify with the SP's and most will respond with Mellon Collie & the Infinite Sadness; a grandiose, twin disc epic that still rests easily in the 'classic' bracket. Advantages: Great music, history of cream era, bargain price
Disadvantages: Can be slightly predictable

...to get somewhat repetitive before moving into the classic pre-lyrical build up. The male lyrics soon kick and take the song off in another direction. The words are very repetitive but the constant changes in the direction keep the interest and make this a truly outstanding song. The tune and the man’s voice are in perfect harmony and they are a really great match. ~Disc Two: Track 5 – Plastic Dreams by Jaydee~ This is yet another classic and hero of its time. The banging house beat and the sound of the unique jazz organ really captivate you start to nod your head to the beat. The bells in the background really add to the mood and overall feel of the song. The whole of the song is instrumental; there are no interruptions of lyrics which have their place in other tunes but not this. This is a tune that has many memories for a lot... Read review
