Advantages: set on a nature reserve, clean park Disadvantages: I dont like the Haven entertainment
soaring over the park. I really enjoyed my midnight cigarette sitting outside accompanied by the noises of the geese and during the night baby bunnies ran around too.
Overall, we really enjoyed our time at Marton Mere. Personally, I'm not a fan of the Haven entertainment but with the parks proximity to Blackpool and all the main attractions being a short drive away it was a good place for us to stay. The park itself was clean, pleasant and well maintained and had a laid back family feel to it. Although we didn't use Haven directly when we interacted with the staff they were polite and friendly. We were lucky and had really nice weather during our stay and after our days out it was nice to come back to the caravan and cook a meal and relax. When you stay on a Haven Park, you know it's not the most sophisticated place on earth but it ...
Advantages: Ideal for young children, Great off peak prices, Tourist attractions easily accessible Disadvantages: I'd Probably say all of it, if it weren't for my daughter!
and the facilities, wich was only a problem on arrival, as I had to trail a pushchair, suitcase, rucksack and coolbag aswell as an excited 3 year old along a bumpy road with no path and frequent traffic. No assistance was offered, but then I didn't ask, so to say it was unavailable would be unfair.
My first impression of the holiday park was good. It was a lot cleaner than I expected. Marton Mere park is set by a wildlife nature reserve, so while only a couple of miles from Blackpool center, had a country feel.
Arriving at our caravan, again I was pleasently surprised. While far from being the Ritz, It was clean and modern and more spacious than I expected. However its described as a 6 berth, I think the maximum amount of people I could cope with would be 2 adults, 2 small children maximum. The caravan had a double bedroom, and twin bedroom ...
Advantages: stunning caravan, location, entertainment Disadvantages: bus service at night
What a place. I have stayed at this park before but didn\'t spend much time at it at all but this time was a different experience.
We booked the holiday for Monday - Friday online in February and managed to get a gold star caravan for 4 adults, 2 children and a baby for £290. This price included funworks passes to access the entertainment complex onsite.
We travelled from Scotland and it was a straight road down. the park is in the outskirts of Blackpool but close enough to walk on a nice day. It is well sign posted so there is no need to worry about getting lost.
The entrance to the park is manned alm ost 24/7. the men who work on the gate are very friendly and welcome everyone with a smile and wave. You have to do a bit of a drive to get to the reception area but the park, at this point, is very clean and well kept.
When we ...
