Advantages: Tuneful, classic pop-rock,best of the 90s.Lyrically,musically and vocally chairming and catchy Disadvantages: If you dont like pop/rock then you might not enjoy this blast from the past.
Right so today I am really on one with bands/albums ranging from the mid 80s to the late 90s and seeing as I am, what sort of reviewer would I be if I didn't at least give a quick mention to Texas?
Southside by Texas is one of their most acclaimed albums. Released in 1995 with timeless classics like 'I dont want a lover', the album still rings true with audiences today.
Although they have taken their name from an american state, they are essentially a Scottish pop/rock band. Their music does seem to adopt some of the texan stealy guitar sound and although singer and rhythm guiatris Sharleen Spiter has a lovely Scottish accent, she sings with an american accent (which is a shame but common of the era).
This album has some really great pop songs, I dont Want a Lover being one of many. The overal quality of the vocals is really ...
Advantages: Quiet, thought-provoking, sensitive, tasteful, gently emotive Disadvantages: For me, none at all but for some people it may take a bit of getting into
are many heart-tugging highlights in the film, there is one particularly moving moment when Travis is crossing a footbridge across a motorway just as the dawn is breaking, and has to walk past a man on the bridge who is obviously quite disturbed.....the man is shouting at nobody in particular about all he feels is wrong with the world. Travis needs to pass the man and is a little nervous of what his reaction may be, but he then realises the man hasn't even noticed him. As Travis walks very close to the man, he lightly touches him on the arm, then walks on. This for me is an exquisitely moving moment in the film, more from how it is done than anything else.
I don?t even want to vaguely hint at the ending of the film, but I will say that each time I see Paris Texas (and I must have seen it at least 20 times), I have to have a couple ...

Advantages: Lots of shows to choose from, excellent security Disadvantages: None
I have been to the Leas Cliff Hall on several occasions to watch bands such as Embrace and Pink Floyd tribute bands. I have also attended the musical Fame at this location.
The Leas Cliff Hall
There is one main arena at the Leas Cliff Hall and this consists of a large stage, with an open hall area in front on it. At the back of the hall, there are stairs which lead to upper stalls although the seating is fairly limited with only two rows all the way round.
During the concerts that I have attended, there have been no seats laid out and visitors are left to stand in the large open hall area where they can view the band on stage. The only seating available is the higher seating around the outside of the hall.
When I attended the musical Fame, the Leas Cliff Hall had been laid out in a completely different style. Rows of seats had been ...
