Advantages: Full of eighties classics Disadvantages: There's only sixty of them
As many of you will know from reading my earlier reviews, I celebrated my fortieth birthday earlier this year, and as many of you will also know I love my 80's music. I wasn't aware of this compilation at the time, but was given it as a present by one of my friends. I subsequently discovered it was only released two days before my big day, and in many ways therefore, its release holds a special place in my collection.

As I said earlier I did not actually buy this CD myself so consequently I do not know how much my friend paid for it. However, being the nosey old git that I am, and in the name purely of research, I have been touring the various record shops to see how much this retails at. As many of you will know from reading my earlier reviews, I celebrated my fortieth birthday earlier this year, and as many of you will also know I love my 80's music. I wasn't aware of this compilation at the time, but was given it as a present by one of my friends. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ So what do you get for your money ? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As I said earlier I did not actually buy this CD myself so consequently I do not know how much my friend paid for it. However, being the nosey old git that I am, and in the name purely of research, I have been touring the various record shops to see how much this retails at. The cheapest I managed to locate it was in Tesco's for £11.87 although it is currently available at Amazon for just under £11. For that you get a three CD compilation of classic tracks from the 1980's comprising 60 tracks in total.
~~~~~~~~~ Is it value for money ? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
That depends entirely on your taste in music but if you like your 80's stuff then this is exceptional value because whilst many of these are memorable tracks from this era, you don't actually find many of them on other compilations so in that respect you will not feel cheated if you part with your hard earned cash. If the 80's scene isn't your cup of tea, then don't read on.
~~~~~~~~ OK, so give us more details of what we get ? ~~~~~~~
As I said, you get three CD's which are all full of quality tracks, with one or two exceptions which you will always find with compilations. However, these are very much in the minority. Whilst I will provide you with a complete track listing, I won't provide a synopsis of each track because I am sure most of them will be familiar to you. Ok ,so here goes.

~~~~~~~~~~~ Overall Conclusion ~~~~~~~~~~~~
Although there are one or two dodgy numbers, which is the norm with the majority of compilations, what is pleasing about this particular one is that the tracks are not readily found on other compilations. Overall I would rate it as good value for money.
Advantages: Fantastic Collection, Really good variety of cheesy pop classics! Disadvantages: Can't think of any, I love these CD's!!!
...We're Alone Now, Wham - Club Tropicana, Survivor - Eye Of The Tiger, Communards - Don't Leave Me This Way and many many more feature on these CD's.
I recently had to drive my boyfriend to a football match over an hour away but these CD's kept me singing throughout the journey there and back without duplication of songs!
Most of the songs are of the "feel good" variation and there don't seem to be any depressing songs amonst the CD's.
I would wholeheartedly ...
