Hello to all you trance and music fans out there just writing about a old album which i listened to again for the first time in ages and was reduced to tears.
Clubbers Guide to Trance mixed by ATB was brought out in 1999 and for me this is when the best trance classics was around. I bought this cd last year for a bargain five pound i had to get it because i see a lot of familiar tunes that i loved .

I have only recently just discovered about the poor mixing and didn't notice it till i read about it now its so easy to recognize the errors .

This is the first tune on the cd and its a good warm up tune for the many tear jerking anthems ahead.

There is a new remix of this out but it doesn't match up to the original . It has a slow build up but when the vocals kick in then it really gets you moving great tune.

Has good vocals to it and is a nice tune to listen to back lacks just that killer punch.

These boys have come up trumps with this classic tune that brings back great memories in ibiza a absolute belter and should be played up loud.

System F Out Of The Blue

This is a tune made by ferry corsten and is probably the best one on cd 1 . This is my all time favorite tune and its a tear jerker . This really is trance at its best and has a real good feel factor to it. It starts of with just a loop sound that progresses to a nice melody and just keeps building and building up then releases its full potential.

Matt Darey - liberation

This is a nice tune to chill out to but it doesn't really appeal to me as its not got that nice feel to it but it may appeal to others. Its just my personal opinion .

This builds up into a right nice trancey tune. It takes a little while to kick in before releasing that nice beat. It kicks in at 2.15 and then u can sit back close your eyes and lose ureself.

This tune is something i don't know a lot about only really heard it on this cd and no where else before but its not a bad track. I suppose this one does have a cheesey feel to it but never or less worth a listen.

It has the same sort of sound from the very beginning and doesn't really change throughout. It is another sort of chillout tune and doesn't really mount up to a awful lot.

If you was to hear this you probably would think its cheesey and i have to agree there its not 1 bad to listen 2 but looking back on it this one wasn't really that much of a hit and something that doesn't stick out from 1999.

I haven't heard this tune in a while but its a nice one at that. Something that goes down nicely in any trance set .

This is slightly better this track it does have some potential to it. See the problem is I'm not really into the progressive side of trance i just like the feel good stuff so this tune will suit different types of people

This is a really good tune and really does mount to something with good vocals and does have a kick to it. This is better than the last four tunes put together .

This is the closing track of cd 1 and is another sort of progressive type of tune but it isn't to bad.

There is some awesome tracks on this cd building up to the real tear jerkers on here for example System F out of the blue is something that sends tingles down your spine and there is others that do that on this cd well most of them do in fact. Like i've already mentioned the mixing ruins this almost perfect cd of trance classics. You can notice the mistakes when it changes on the next track especially from track 7 to 8 . You would have thought it would have been picked up before being produced onto Cd's.

For this part i am only gonna list the tune that are worth listening to because like CD 1 there is quite a few poor tunes not worth mentioning

Sasha - xpander

This tune just builds and builds its a stomping anthem and great to listen 2 .

Ne trance cd would be incomplete without this has this is one of the best anthems of 1999.Absolute stomper!

Tiesto and ferry corsten have come up absolute trumps with this club anthem which sends shivers down ya spine and sends you into a world ya haven't experienced before. Turn this one up loud!

Mauro Picotto - Lizard

This hard hitting trance tune will rip your eyes out of their sockets and make all your hair stand up on its ends absolute classic.

Verococha - carte blanche

Another gem of a tune a great trance classic and definitely a great choice on this cd

overall view

At the time i would have given this ten out of ten but listening to it again there is quite a few weak tunes on here which spoils it because there is also quite a lot of belters on here as well.

There is a mixture of good and bad more good than bad but this cd has lacked effort and run out of decent tracks to put on it so they have banged on stuff that quite frankly is rubbish. They sound cheesey and not worth putting on this cd which could have full potential if it wasn't for these

This wont appeal to everyone and all u people out there who don't know any of these tracks I'm sorry .
