Nowadays, people say that music like this is a load of rubbish. I have to admit, quite a lot of it is, but this CD doesn't just have songs released within the past year. We have songs from the early 2000's on here! ... ...under £10 (which was amazing, considering it contains 3CDS and it was only in it's second week of it's release. Tesco raised the price to £11 something the week after).
CD One:
We have songs from Cascada, Lasgo, Scooter, Ian Van Dahl, Darren Styles, Styles & Breeze and Sugababes to name a few. Some of the tracks have been remixed, however, they aren't that bad. I don't normally like mixes of a song unless it's been remixed by ... more
Wow. I did have the original Clubland Classix CD, but after hearing it while at my friend's house in the holidays I realized that this would be a CD I would like to own so when it came out, I rushed to the store to get a copy!
Nowadays, people say that music like this is a load of rubbish. I have to admit, quite a lot of it is, but this CD doesn't just have songs released within the past year. We have songs from the early 2000's on here! I bought this from Tesco's when they sold it for under £10 (which was amazing, considering it contains 3CDS and it was only in it's second week of it's release. Tesco raised the price to £11 something the week after).
CD One: We have songs from Cascada, Lasgo, Scooter, Ian Van Dahl, Darren Styles, Styles & Breeze and Sugababes to name a few. Some of the tracks have been remixed, however, they aren't that bad. I don't normally like mixes of a song unless it's been remixed by some really good producers. We have a copy of Katy Perry's "I Kissed A Girl" and One Republic's "Apologize". Unfortunately, they don't live up to the standard of the originals. I don't think they work very well in this style. They don't have the same feelings and impressions intended by the original artists. Apart from that, this CD earns 4/5
CD Two: More of the same. This time it's Girls Aloud, Rihanna, PCD, Infernal & N-Dubz. I really like the mix of "When I Grow Up", it's still got the amusement the original had and it hasn't been destroyed. We have another copy of a song (I Think We're Alone Now). I've not really listened to this song much, probably because I've never been keen on this song. It sounds like the Girls Aloud version with a heavier beat. I love Infernal's "Self Control", they've got the extended version here instead of the radio edit so we get to hear that little bit more! Again, there is a mixture on here from hardcore to pop and rap to techno. 4/5
CD Three: Good ol' Lady GaGa, The Saturdays & the Bodyrockers are the stars of this CD. Unless you buy these type of CD's, you probably won't recognise the other artists. I particulary like DJ Gollum's (who?) mix of t.A.T.u's "All The Things She Said". I'm on a bit of a t.A.T.u craze at the moment. Bassfreakerz 's "Cry For You" cover isn't too bad either. This CD seems to be a lot calmer than the previous two, maybe that's why its number three? 4/5
So all in all it's a fantastic CD. We have the songs on there we wish we'd never heard of, but most of it is of a high standard. I really enjoy listening to this and I'm looking forward to C.C 3. I hope we have songs from Little Boots, JLS, N-Force, Calvin Harris and Basshunter on it!!

Quick review of Clubland Classix Vol.2 - Various Artists
This fantastic CD seems to be getting mixed reviews!
Some people seem to think that it is now full of "pop rubbish", but I totally disagree
with this, yes it does have a couple of remixed pop songs in it including songs from
The saturdays, Katy Perry and Sugababes but it is full of a various number of great songs!
I can get bored of music very easily, but this is one cd that I never seem to get bored of!
This is all I have been listening to for the past month, changing from each of the 3 cds.
A great buy! I would deffinately advie people to buy this!! ...
