Album Notes: 'The Cold Nose' is a reissue of the debut album from American duo Daniel Rossen and Fred Nicolaus and was originally released under the title 'The Whitey On The Moon UK LP'. Here the New York University room mates deliver an album of sample heavy tracks ranging from downtempo instrumentals through to tongue-in-cheek electronic pop numbers.
Advantages: True stories, good cause, entertaining, great for animal lovers Disadvantages: Only available online - but worth the effort!
...I am the proud owner of two lovely dogs - an ageing Jack Russell cross Chihuahua called Katy and a six-month-old Jack Russell puppy called Pixie. They give me plenty of love and affection and my life would be lacking something, without their presence.
So when I saw a book online, which was being sold for Russell Rescue Inc. - the US charity which helps rescue Jack Russell terriers - I thought it looked interesting and a worthwhile charity to support. The book is called ColdNoses Warm Hearts - The Animals That Love Us! It is a collection of true stories and poems written by the pets' owners.
The book is well made and has a gorgeous front and back cover which features photos of all the pets mentioned inside. Although the majority of pets featured are Jack Russell dogs, there are stories about other breeds of dogs, a cat...

Advantages: Some great performances, thorough direction. Disadvantages: Overlong and peppered with wandering accents.

Mark Wahlberg was thoroughly deserving of his Oscar nomination for the role of police...

Meanwhile, Jerry is allowed to make a call while in FBI custody, but instead of reaching his parents, his call is hijacked by the same woman who had called him on his cell phone, and she helps him escape. On the run, Jerry is forced to obey the woman who has become his worst nightmare, and that's when he and Rachel are thrown together...
'Eagle Eye' is a fascinating film... albeit a bit slow at the start. Give it a few minutes, and you'll be glad you did because it's going to take you on an amazing rollercoaster ride crammed...
