And my hands shake, my head hurts,
my voice sticks inside my throat
I'm invisible and dumb,
And no-one will recall me
And I can't see the water
through the tears in my eyes

Right let's start with the information, this is essentially a 2 CD and 1 DVD collection withthe second Cd and the DVD on a double-sided disc.
Little irritation, the writing is very small on the discs and the sleeve, and the discs are difficult to remove without touching the playing surface.

The problem with Massive Attack is that they have recorded some of the seminal tracks of the last twenty years and when you put virtually anything next to the likes of "Protection" or "Unfinished Sympathy" it can only compare unfavourably.
In essence the first audio CD contains all the really good tunes, the two above, "Safe from Harm", "Angel", "Teardrop", "Live with me", "Five man Army" and "Sly".
The second CD contains some more thoughtful and less immediate numbers "Incantations", "I Against I" and "Danny the Dog" being the stand-out tracks, this CD is a more difficult listen than the first but perseverance will reward.
The DVD contains many wll directed videos of the songs from the first two CD's and also "Daydreaming" and strangely "Be thankful for what you've got" also only makes an appearance on the DVD with a video that detracts from the beauty of the song, but at least allows me to remember my only visit to Bristol to see "Gary Numan" on his farewell tour in 1981 and the later visit to a seedy strip club to pass the time after we'd missed the last train.
"Protection" is one of my favourite tracks of all time and the nearly eight minute version here, together with the monstrously heavy bass lines in the dark foreboding tangle of sound that is "Angel" and the funky tripping of "Unfinished Sympathy" alone justify multiple listens/watches of this collection.
Prices vary outrageously for this set so search well, it''s worth it.
