A group of young people, some no more than schoolchildren, decided that they would not sit idly by whilst people like Mr Beaching destroyed their heritage. They decided that they would do something. But what? What could a group of idealistic school children do to try and help redress the balance of mindless destruction and change (as they perceived it) merely for the sake of change?
Buy and preserve their own steam locomotive, that's what! They managed to buy a Merchant Class locomotive form British Rail. The locomotive they bought was a Bulleid Merchant Navy Pacific 35028 locomotive by the evocative name of Clan Line.
Apparently it was not really the one they wanted (that was damaged and hasd to be cut up) but it was the one they ended up by purchasing. But the decision to buy Clan Line seems to ...
Advantages: Entertaining the whole way through Disadvantages: Slightly on the budget side
Last night Behind enemy lines was on Film Four and I thought I?d give it ago, I had never heard of the film before and so did not know what to expect, I always give the info on the TV a read before getting into a new film as unfortunately I am one of the Biased people of the world who find a film more worth trying if it has good actors and a good synopsis. Judging a book by its cover and all that (slap on the wrists).
First impressions
Before the film had started I had my doubts, the cast of actors includes Owen Wilson, and after seeing more than a fair share of his films, I was doubtful to whether he could pull off what was being described on the TV info as an ?action/thriller? I have never seen him in a serious role and although this gave doubts it also intrigued me into seeing the film and made me want to see if he would fail ...

One of the busiest transport networks in the entire world is based right here in London.
Its common name is "the Underground" a name adopted in the 1930's along with its famous Red circle and Blue stripe through.
Yet the tube network was started much earlier in the late 1800's.
The underground was a complex maze of tunnels constructed deep underground to solve the transport problems that were beginning to affect London.
Lack of space was an issue above so the answer was found below.
One of the lines that runs deep underground is called the CentralLine. It is the most heavily used by commuters and tourists alike. It appears on the map as a Red line running through London from side to side.
