Reviews:
1. Dirt Off Your Shoulder / Lying From You:
This is the opening track on the album and starts with Jay-Z saying "I ordered a Frapachino wheres my f**king frapachino" which i personally thought was a great way to start an album and then goes into the beat of dirt off your shoulder with Linkin Park's lyrics then cuts to the fast but well pronounced lyrics off Jay-Z over the top of Linkin Park's Lying from you. This was actually one of my favourite tracks on the album.
2. Big Pimping / Papercut:
This track sees Linkin Park taking over from a lyrical point of view and the beat from Big Pimping at first then switches to Jay-Z with the chorus being from papercut. This was not one of my favourite tracks but a good offering all the same.
3. Jigga What / Faint:
This is another track that begins with a Jay-Z beat and slowly builds up to linkin park blasting out the backing track of faint and Jay-Z rapping over it so fast you can barely hear his lyrics but all the same this works really well, I really enjoyed this track.
4. Numb / Encore:
This track is probably the only track i had heard off the album before buying it and was ultimately why i went looking for the album its the first track that opens with a Linkin Park beat which really works well with the lyrics of Encore, this track will is the best track on the album in my opinion.
5. Izzo / In The End:
Yet another track strating with Jay-Z but this doesnt last for long as Linkin Park soon cut in with the lyrics of In The End however there is no sign of a Linkin Park backing track on this one which is a bit dissapointing but it is still a good track not a personal favourite though.
6. Points of authority/99 problems/One step closer:
This opens with points of authority untill Jay-Z cuts in with 99 problems then moves into One Step Closers beat for the end part of the track this track is also a hot favourite with pretty much everyone that hears it and one you will find yourself repeatedly listening to.
Both the CD and DVD are really well produced using a mixture of some of the best lyrics and beats from both artists, and they compliment each other really well.
In fact the only bad thing about this album is that it is not long enough!
