Definitely bluesy, some jazz thrown in and a touch of country to finish. Easy listening don't get any easier.
Norah Jones has a wonderfully soulful and sultry voice that fits every song on this album beautifully. If the finest Belgian chocolate had a voice, it would sound something like Norah's.
The songs are all moderately slow, some of which are covers, but all have their own dreamy quality that you just can't help getting caught up in. I love them all, but the title track and Turn Me On are in a class of their own.
There are 14 songs in total but the 45 minutes they last for seems woefully short, and is my only complaint. I intend to write a review of this album which will cover the individual tracks in more detail, as I feel it's what this album deserves.
This album is superb, and I'm not even a fan of this type of music. If you want something you can listen to while curled up in the warmth of your own home on a cold winter's day you will not find one better than this.
Incidentally, Norah has a website - www.norahjones.com - where you can get a taste of what this CD is really like (realplayer needed).
