On gulfs of harmonious melodies Norah Jones flies you to the most beautiful places imagineable. Her sweet, young, sensual voice serves great as background as well.
<<Perception: The first time you hear it, you'll think: Hmm, smooth, calm...But here's a tip, for getting the best out of it: Play it like 2 or 3 times as background first. Doing this will give such a magical effect to the occasion that you will absolutely want to hear what this soft voiced lady is actually singing. When you listen close, you will hear a stream of unique words that can't be found in an average TOP 20 chart; no love me, love you, happy forever, but tactical, seductive words, she uses to get you to the essence of a romantic atmosphere.
<<Voice quality: very natural, very non-artificial, it's all so acoustic, she could just be standing next to you. And she sings so sweet you wish you had her with you everyday to sing you a song before going to sleep...

FEELING THE SAME WAY
This is one of the more rythmic songs on her album, because on the whole the songs are very acoustic. It's a beautiful song, with hallucinant instruments on the background. Her voices reaches seductive peaks in this one, like high, but not too high, just enough to make you shiver.
PAINTER'S SONG

Very beautiful and creative lyrics. Gives me the impression I'm somewhere in the middle of a field on a breezy summerday and there is a painter (I would make a worthless painter:-)) painting me as the wind is blowing through my hair...
LONESTAR
Reminds me of Texas somehow. When I hear it I see a young girl walking the empty roads round a farm in Texas accompagned by a cow, or a horse.
Actually it's on the whole very rural, in the sense that it by no means envokes the image of the city, the crowd, the noise, the cars...In this world there is only you and nature and a beautiful voice singing as you enjoy the scene.
Finally, to the scepticists who may be reading this (plenty of them here on Ciao;-)): I personally garantuee you that you will be left as drugged after hearing this lady sing...and I'm a woman. So what would it do to a man?
