..., and then Mick by Andrew David Scott (b. 30 June 1949, Wrexham, Wales) and the new line-up signed to RCA. The band were introduced to the writing partnership of Chinn and Chapman, who were to provide the band with a string of hit singles. Their initial success was down to bubblegum pop anthems such as Funny Funny, Co-Co, Poppa Joe and Little Willy. However, the band were writing their own hard-rock numbers on the b-sides of these hits. This resulted in Chinn/Chapman coming up with heavier pop-rock numbers, most notably the powerful Blockbuster, which reached number 1 in the UK at the beginning of 1973. The group's determinedly effete, glam-rock image was reinforced by a succession of Top 10 hits, including Hell Raiser, Ballroom Blitz, Teenage Rampage and The Six Teens." .... Bowie assembled a bona fide rhythm and blues band for the recording of the album "Young Americans" which included Willy Weeks on bass along with Andy Newmark on drums and now saxophone legend David Sanborn. The recording of this album was split into 3 main sessions with 2 of them in Philadelphia and a last minute session taking place in New York with John Lennon taking part on 2 tracks adding vocals and guitar to "Across the Universe" and "Fame", this is why the album went from an all Bowie composed project to one that included a Beatles cover, I think Bowie was so overawed by the experience of being in the studio with Lennon that he dropped the tracks "Who Can I be Now?" and It's Gonna Be Me" these songs would not officially see the light of day until the release of the 19991 version of this album. Advantages: Many of Dolly's greatest hits are included
Disadvantages: Only 21 songs, so some hits are missing

...world with a No3 hit. "You're messin' up my mind and fillin' up my senses." 4. I Will Always Love You (1973) - written by Parton. The biggest song of Dolly's career was written to signal the end of her seven year partnership with Porter Wagoner, and the masterful farewell was a No1 hit twice for Parton (the second time when it featured in her 1982 movie "The Best Little Whorehouse In Texas") and once in a lengthy warbling version for Whitney Huston. Elvis was also interested in recording it, but his demands to also be assigned half the publishing rights for the privilege put Dolly off the idea, saving her millions of dollars in royalties. Gentle swaying guitar is fronted by pure wavering vocals. The original and by far the best. 5. Joshua (1970) - written by Parton. An outstanding powerful, brassy southern ditty about a loner living... Read review
