Lotus notes does the job well, and have a lot of features. I'm not really a fan, but I think I've been institutionalised by Microsoft products. I am able to send e-mail and receive e-mails and it's not
something I have to pay for, so I am happy to use it. Communication within a company and to anyone connected with your company is what drives business and improves systems, so any mail ...
Advantages: Excellent performances, interesting story Disadvantages: None really
Notes on a Scandal is the story of Barbara Covett, a lonely and elderly teacher at an underperforming school. It begins with the introduction of a new teacher, young and pretty Sheba Hart. The two become friends, until Barbara discovers that Sheba is having an affair with a 15 year old student, at which point her view of the friendship intensifies significantly. Barbara becomes extremely posessive and falls in love with Sheba, who tries hard to please her and be a good friend but makes it clear she is feeling quite disturbed by Barbara's actions. When angry with Sheba, Barbara clues another teacher in about Sheba's past with the student, who informs the public. Sheba has no choice but to leave her husband and her family and temporarily move in with Barbara, where she discovers her diary and finds out her true feelings about her ...
Advantages: Unparalleled playing, Unbelievably good bargain for 6 CDs! Disadvantages: Um, paper sleeves? No, seriously, it's great
This box set comprises recordings from 1985-89, when Horowitz was 81 years old! In 1986 Horowitz returned to Russia after 60 years away to give his monumental Moscow recital of which the live recording is included in this set. I personally find this performance of Liszt's Sonetto 104 del Petrarca to be the finest ever recorded. Alongside this is Scarlatti, Mozart, Rachmaninov, Scriabin, Schumann, Chopin, Moszkowski, and Schubert.
Accompanying this recital is 5 other discs of outstandingly unique playing. As he got older, Horowitz's playing became a sort of caricature of itself in the nicest possible way. By this I mean, his dynamics became more extreme, he became more expressive than ever, and his sense of style was heightened to new levels. Horowitz's Mozart playing has been criticized for being too free and not in Mozart ...

Album Reviews
Down Beat (12/95, p.70) - 5 Stars - Excellent - "...Very rarely has so much transcendent piano trio music from a moment in time been gathered in one place....Jarrett's trio has now achieved a level of intuitive interaction with few precedents in the history of jazz..." Musician (11/95, pp.92-94) - "...sets the standard for standards....It's a gourmet feast--which...is almost an oxymoron. Listen in small doses; it goes down better....Where most bands build their solos on a rhythm groove, Jarrett constructs a melodic groove from which the rhythm grows..." Entertainment Weekly (1/12/96, p.57) - "...Maudlin yet lyrical, reverent yet free spirited, pianist Jarrett at 50 is at the peak of his game, and this trio, with drummer Jack DeJohnette and bassist Gary Peacock, is a unified organism, breathing new life into familiar jazz standards....May well be 1995's finest jazz release." - Rating: A+
