...This album reminds you just how incredibly good Van Morrison is. From the initial cheerful melodies of “Bright Side Of The Road” to the closing moments of the final track, “Dweller On The Threshold,” I was completely hooked. Classic hits such as “Moondance,” “Brown Eyed Girl” and the ultimate love song “Have I Told You Lately” are all on here, along with songs you may not be so familiar with. However, it is these songs which give you the nicest surprise, for they are all instant classics themselves, with “Did Ye Get Healed” and “Queen Of The Slipstream” as standout tunes. You don’t need to be a Van Morrison fan to love this album....

Advantages: No weak tracks Disadvantages: Nothing specific
...he basically showed us what it's like in the 'Dirty' abn dhow people do it here in comparison to out toward New York or Cali, who tend to be completly different to each other.
**Five Stars**
15. "What's Your Fantasy (Remix)" (feat. Trina, Shawnna and Foxy Brown)
This is the remix to his big hit, and it has a slighlty altered beat, which is heavily based upon the original. It features some of the baddest female rappers with the likes of Trina, Shawna and Foxy Brown, who don't really have limits to what they are prepared to do to Luda, or allow him to do to them.
It's good to see a female response for this track as many may have taking the Misogyny route with the original recording, won't be able o argue that he's degrading females with a selection of females who are willing to stand by him, and go further with what he brought...

Advantages: A great album, 21 great tunes from the Stone Roses Disadvantages: Silvertone Records cashing in on their finest signing
...The Stone Roses were the band at the start of the 1990s. Not that I knew it then, I was introduced to them far later (like a lot of people) and the fact they have so many fans even now is a testament to their greatness.
This compilation was released by their first record company, Silvertone, upon the band leaving and going to Geffen. It is a blatant attempt to cash in and the only time you see a picture of Ian Brown and the rest of the band is on the front cover of the album.
Still, it summarises nicely the glory days of the band, before the band lost its way in later years. Brown’s vocals are excellent, John Squire’s guitar playing the stuff of legend, while Mani (bass) and Remi (drums – one of the finest drummers you’ll ever hear) are also excellent.
Among the famous hits included are “Made of Stone”, “She Bangs the Drums...

Advantages: Pure James Brown Disadvantages: only 1 disc
...This is a CD containing 20 of James Brown's best hits. It has songs ranging from Get Up Offa That Thing to Papa's Got A Brand New Bag, from It's a Man's Man's Man's World to Living In America. The complete track listing is below.
Before i bought this CD i'd only heard of Papa's Got A Brand New Bag (bad for a DJ i know) by James Brown's but ever since i bought it i can't get enough of him. It has to be the Funk mix with the soul that does it for me. The best thing was i picked this copy up from some supermarket for a pittence of what it should have been. Only £3.50 ish i think. Is well worth the £10 a high street shop would charge. I believe it is now possible to get pretty cheap copies of the net.
If you love anything James has done you'll love this CD. Highly Recommended. The track list is as follows:
Papa's Got a Brand...
