Advantages: Great music, engaging story Disadvantages: Not one for the faint-hearted
I remember seeing a trailer for Kill Bill when it was still just one film. I've always been a fan of Quentin Tarantino and of Japanese culture in general so I was quite looking forward to this. When I found out it was going to be split into two I was kinda annoyed but pleased that the experience would last longer than I thought.
The film centres around The Bride (Uma Thurman) a member of the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad, lead by the eponymous Bill. When she finds out she's pregnant by Bill, she leaves the squad to set up a more quiet, serene life, and finds a young man. But on her wedding day she is gunned down by Bill and the four other members of the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad. She awakens four years later from a coma to find that her baby is gone and vows to seek revenge on the people that did this to her.

Kill Bill the fourth film by the legendary BAFTA, Academy Award, Emmy winning (to name a few) Quentin Tarantino. This is an epic length drama which houses Hong Kong martial arts movies, Japanese samurai movies and weaponry skills. Kill Bill is ONE story, divided into TWO volumes with FIVE "chapters" each, presented in a way that is normally associated with Tarantino, that revered nonlinear style is a familiar forefront. Nonlinear meaning narrative technique.

One of the evenings on our trip to Banff was spent in WildBill?s. This was somewhere that Mr Tart had visited on a previous trip and he really wanted to return there.
LOCATION:
WildBill?s is located at 137 Banff Avenue, right in the centre of the town. The entrance is quite small because the bar itself is located above a load of shops, but there is a sign outside.
THE EXPERIENCE:
We booked our table because we were going on one of the nights that the band was playing, however I?m not sure that this was necessary as the place had quite a lot of space when we arrived. The bar is quite big and can hold a lot of people, but it did get busier later on. It is set out a bit like an old saloon with lots of wild west décor and a big dancefloor in the middle.
