Advantages: A good mix of songs Disadvantages: Doesnt help you get through the housework
A cd thats a couple of years old now but still fun to listen to.
I mean this cd says its meant to help you through the housework but I personally dont think it really does,if anything it distracts you, because you just start singing along to all the great tracks this album has to offer, you get caught up in the music and completely lose track of what you were doing - maybe a good thing in a way :-)
Housework vol1 is a double album that has some cracking songs that you just dont seem to hear on the radio anymore such as The Beach Boys - Help Me Rhonda and Don McLeans - American Pie.
The songs on this album just make you feel good and really help to lift your spirits, but I honestly think its marketed wrong, this is a feel good album for anyone just not people doing the housework.I dont think the title of the album really represents ...
Advantages: distracts the children Disadvantages: not funny, humour very simple and mostly slapstick or toilet houmour.
I'm quite surprised to learn that some people atually like the animated series of Mr Bean, and find it just as entertaining, if not more appealing than the 'proper' Mr Bean.
When I refer to proper Mr Bean I am of course talking about Rowna Atkinson's smash hit comedy sitcom in the 90's which followed a dry and whimsical character make a complete mess of very simple everyday activities like a trip to the swimming pool, parking his car, or visiting the cinema.
Personally I love the original Mr Bean, although some detest his bumbling foolish nature, I find him entertaining on a unique scale. Maybe it's because a part of me feels sorry for him or that in some cercumstances it is really quite ingenuis how you can get make some of the simplest tasks a complete disaster.
However the animated series proved to be a complete let down ...
Advantages: takes you back to the 80's - for some retro entertainment. looks pretty cool Disadvantages: may be too dated or just not you bag.
sometimes and thats what I like about it. I actually forgot how bad and funny He-Mans hair was and Prince Adam's out fit in the pink and purple with tight 'long john ' looking trousers with pants worn on the outside!!
It took me a while to re-adjust to its style after all these years since seeing it as a kid, especially when sometimes the way we remember things is completely different to how it actually was, But none the less I enjoyed it,It was a nice trip down memory lane and now I might actually remember it properly having seen it as an adult.
I think a DVD such as this would make an ideal fun stocking filler /gift for someone who was born around 1980,and I think some kids now might even get into it if they gave it a chance, it is a cool series.
I bought this Dvd a few months ago and it was under a fiver ,It was either amazon or play ...

Album Notes
The renowned bandleader Joe "King" Oliver led one of the 20th century's first successful jazz bands, which originally featured the drummer Baby Dodds; his brother, the clarinetist and saxophonist Johnny Dodds; the trumpeter Louis Armstrong; and Armstrong's future wife, the pianist Lil Hardin. However, this set features some of Oliver's later 1930 recordings for the Victor Talking Machine Company. The bandleader was suffering from a painful gum disease which made stand-ins necessary for most of his solos, but his acumen in choosing talented musicians is apparent in the performances of such figures as the pianist James P. Johnson and the trumpeters Bubber Miley and Henry "Red" Allen. Highlights include the exotic-sounding "Everybody Does It in Hawaii."
