When I first saw this cd i was very unsure of whether it will be worth it. i decided to go ahead and purchase the cd. although i did think that the idea of collaberating east and west is brilliant, i did not enjoy the way that the indian music has almost been comprimised to accomadate the western touch. infact, what i would have preferred is a parallel unity allowing both the western and eastern music to become one. in this cd i felt as though it was just western music being played on a sitar and that ravi shankar ji has done much better and i would clearly reccomened all his other cds. for collaberated music, i reccomned looking for an album by the indian violinist L.Subramaniam. not only is he a master in the music of south and north india (very few people know both) but he is also a master of western music and has written superb orchestra music not comprimisng either type of music.
