Advantages: amazing piano improvisation Disadvantages: not for people who don't appreciate improvisation

KeithJarrett is the kind of pianist that emerged during the 60's deeply influenced by Bill Evans and got mixed up with all sorts of jazz styles: fusion, bop, funk, avant garde and even classical music. In this recording you can find all his musical influences, concentrated in an improvisational way, unfolding in front of your eyes, or maybe ears. The result is quite amazing, if you think that KeithJarrett wnated to actually cancel this concert because the piano that he was provided with, was not of top quality. ...Excellent Concert held in November 2002 one year after George Harrison's untimely death.
Disc One is the complete concert featuring an all star band including Eric Clapton; Ravi & Anoushka Shankar; Billy Preston; Joe and Sam Brown; Jools Holland; fellow ex-Beatles Ringo Starr & Paul McCartney; Travelling Wilburys Jeff Lynne and Tom Petty and Dhani Harrison, looking very much like his father in the 1960s.
The vast array of George Harrison's work is featured as well as a wonderfully funny comic interlude by members of Monty Python singing Sit on my Face and The Lumberjack Song. George Formby's I'll See you in my Dreams closes the show. The disc is easy to navigate allowing access to individual songs.
Disc Two has the Theatrical Version of the concert along with band rehearsals, Monty Python backstage and interviews with many...

Advantages: very interesting, funny life. Disadvantages: uncertainty behind some parts
...Having been a huge Who fan for a few years, I was excited to read this biography. Once read I was not disappointed. Moments of out loud laughter combined with intrigue and sadness. The author (Tony Fletcher) attempts to be impartial, attempting to separate the myth from the legend, which is no easy task with a character at extreme characters in modern times. Excess being the key word in Keith's life, where everything including drink, drugs and jokes was over the top. Many famous friends of Keith participated in the book, giving frank and detailed interviews. Exceptions to those...
